Will not turn platinum purple

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with this shampoo/conditioner on first use. My hair is platinum, very very cool blonde/white, and I've always had issues with salon blue shampoos turning my hair purple. This works just as well at reducing the yellow as salon brands, without dyeing my hair. I left the shampoo in for about 2 min and the conditioner at my roots for about 3, but immediately washing the conditioner from my ends which appear lighter (why they always dye purple). Excited to see continued results as I keep using this- I normally can't use blue shampoo for about a week trying to get the purple dye out of my hair.

Compared to some purple shampoo/conditioner products this is SO afforable and I only wash my hair twice a week, but I only use this and the TIGI purple shampoo once a week and it works awesome. Doesnt leave my blonde balayage looking purple or grey but a nice cool/neutral tone. Recommend for sure!

I bought the conditioner to tone down the brassiness that was supposed to be silver highlights. It fixed a majority of it right away. However, the yellowest of it took several tries to tone it down. Maybe with help from the shampoo it would work faster? I don't use shampoo, so I don't know. The smell is pleasant & not overpowering. It doesn't stain my shower enclosure. I have extremely thick, coarse hair, so I have to follow up with a thicker conditioner. Anyone with normal or thin hair would surely be fine with just this conditioner. I will note that you have to be very diligent rinsing this out. I scratched an itch on my scalp and came back with purple under my fingernails. Plus, I had a purple ear one day, which was pretty funny.

My hair is thin, fine, long and over-processed. This is the only shampoo and conditioner system that allows me to comb through my hair after use, and has sustained a brass free colour, because it is sulfate free it has not caused further damage to my hair and I am able to maintain regular highlight procedures without breakage. It truly keeps the tones clear and cool without purple staining. I have been a compulsive purchaser of high end product and they don’t compare to this product for my hair type. A little goes a long way and it works. The con? It is extremely hard to find in Canada over the last year and when it is in stock it sells out almost immediately. Even on Amazon. I’m not big on L’Oréal products in general but this formulation is a superior one not getting the recognition it deserves, it could easily be prestigious priced and marketed and out perform high end brands.

I use L'Oreal shampoo and conditioners to begin with so I was really excited to try this, especially since covid has shut the hairdressers down. Instructions said to use purple shampoo first(which I did) and then use the whole tube so I did..everything in the shower went purple but washed off easily. It lathered nicely and rinsed out fine. My fine hair was quite tangled after but nothing my wet brush couldn't handle. After air drying my hair was soft and beautiful and bright. Also it smoothed my dry ends and made it look like I had flat ironed but I hadn't. Will definitely use again in the future!

I had pretty high hopes for this shampoo. Unfortunately I didn’t find that it did much to neutralize brassy tones in my hair. I even put the shampoo on my dry hair and left it for up to an hour in an attempt to give it the best possible chance of working. This would be okay if you have lighter yellow tones in your hair, but wouldn’t work for heavier brassy tones. Moisturizes better than other purple shampoos, and smells better than most too. Price is great, but doesn’t work well for me.

My first impression of L’Oreal Paris Ever Pure Anti-Brass Purple Mask was the smell of it. It smelled like cheap hotel shampoo. I followed the instructions applying to damp hair and leaving for 5 mins. I found that my hair had a different texture after, it did yons down some of the brassy bits but I found it made my hair look darker. And that is not what I look gor in a purple mask. I want my hair to look brighter, fresh, more full and soft. I got my mom to try the mask too on her grey hair. She found that her normally "white streaks" were looking grey, and the rest of her hair looked much darker. She hated the smell too. We both were looking forward to this anti brass mask but found that it did nothing great for us.
Plus side is it didn't make my hair feel Brittle like some purple masks do. And I could brush my hair after without issue's.

Perfect time to try this mask! I recieved this through hone tester club to try for free in exchange for my opinion. I washed my hair then applied it. I was a little worried my hair was going to turn blue but I followed the directions perfectly and rinsed it out. My hair was soooo much better. No color residue left at all, my hair was silky soft, smells great and my brass disappeared. I was shocked. I always thought I had to buy salon products to conquer brassy tones. Love this mask!
