UPDATE: Found it in the landscaping outside of work. After 2 1/2 weeks of exposure, the batteries were completely dead and there was condensation inside the case. I popped out the batteries, left it under my computer's exhaust vent for a couple of hours to dry it out, and installed new batteries. It lit right up and worked like it did before. Reinstalled it back on my keyring with a split ring where the lobster claw was before.
Additional update: Light died shortly after putting it back on my keyring. I returned it to LRI under warrenty, and they fixed it and got it back to me in a timely manner. Top marks for LRI warrenty support
These little lights are very hard to kill.
The best feature is that, from off, if you press and hold, the light comes up slowly so that you can get only the light that you need. Other LEDs start bright and then dim down, usually in large steps.
The only thing is I must have gotten one that sat on the shelf for a long while....It had some battery corrosion inside the first time I changed the battery. It still functions though...no problems yet. Just use some baking soda to naturalize the corrosion.

The one button control is genius. Click on, click off. OR, you can hold it down, and fade the light up or down.Read more
