Taking the case out, I noticed the charging cable and also an orange lanyard was inside it. The case is velcro so you can hook it around your belt. It also had a ring on it in case you want to attach a carabiner to it. Underneath the case was an extra rubber ring that goes over the on/off switch. When I removed the flashlight out of the box, I was a little concerned that the battery was already placed inside it since that meant the battery might be "used up". But I didn't have to worry there's a tape placed over the negative connector that has to be removed before the light can be used.
What I liked was that a rechargable battery was included but at the same time I had an option to use regular CR123A lithium batteries. This is especially important since I'm mostly using the flashlight in emergencies so if the included battery runs out of charge, I would need a backup plan. So kudos for providing options and including a rechargable battery.
Overall, the look and built of the flashlight is very tactical style. It gives me the reassurance that its very well built and can hold up to being dropped. What I like the most is the plethora of lighting options (6 total). I must admit the lowest lighting (moonlight) is most likely not something I would use. At 1 lumen and lasting 340 hour on one full charge, it seems the most useful but I felt lighting was just not enough. At the same time turbo at 1000 lumens was a bit too bright for me. I find myself using low / mid lighting mode the most with this flashlight. At this lighting mode it still gave me between 10 - 37 hours of usage. I thought this was a very well thought out flashlight that provided many options for lighting, charging and carrying.
Aircraft inspections with it. Two of my Coworkers were so impressed with it, they ordered one. Long story short, it works as advertised.
It's only been a couple days and I have no complaints just yet. Subject to change as time goes along. The business end can get pretty warm when used on the highest setting for some time. There is a warning symbol to give you a heads up though. The main reason I bought this this model over the others available was USB charging. Haven't had to charge the unit just yet; battery comes charged. Overall I believe this product is for someone who likes cool gear and intends to have long term use. One could say it's a bit pricey, but I'm sure the price will come down once the item becomes popular. Would recommend as a nice gift for someone into gadgets. The packaging is pretty nice too. Comes with a small carrying pouch, micro USB charging cable, replacement power button and a small lanyard.
It has 2 programming settings; Tactical and Outdoor. On the "outdoor" setting, you can use all 5 modes plus strobe. On the "tactical" setting, the side button is inoperable, and only 3 modes are available... low, turbo and strobe. For those modes, you use the tail cap button only.
It's also USB rechargeable, and the port is "hidden" within the threads of the head. To access it, you need to loosen and remove the head. From the pictures, you can see how it "lights up" in red to show the charging battery, and then how it turns green to show you charging is complete.
It's also submersible to 2 meters, and impact resistant to 1.5 meters.
To me, it's a really good light, and I certainly recommend it! I've included some pictures too...I hope they're helpful.
