I have used this drive as an external drive for photo editing in Lightroom. It is a great drive, but is not nearly as fast as indicated in the description when you are moving thousands of small files around.
Pros:
- Great capacity to price ratio
- As a backup drive, it is really fast for a spinning disk
- It really will survive a waist high drop
Cons:
- Really slow in Lightroom - even with USB-C
