Great book to own especially because it's out of print, I needed it for a college Ethnobotany class. The shipping took a little long but in their defense, I do live in HI.

Phenomenal resource. Isabella Abbott was such a force in her field - both for Hawaii and for the ethnobotany of the Pacific ecosystems. This book touches on just about every aspect of the Hawaiians' lives and the plants that sustained them. For anyone interested in the history and/or the use of vegetation pre-European contact - this book is a keeper.
