Lab Baths & Accessories
Lab baths and accessories are used in research and laboratory applications to heat, thaw, cool, and maintain a constant environment for temperature-sensitive specimens and samples, including pharmaceutical research, and blood and DNA testing. A lab bath may have both heating and cooling capability. Samples immersed in a heated or refrigerated laboratory water bath are heated or cooled from all sides, protecting delicate samples from direct contact with the heating element. A circulating lab water bath extends this protection by circulating the bath fluid, preventing temperature variations. Though water is often used to fill the bath chamber, some applications require other fluids, including silicone, ethylene glycol, and algae-control agents.
