Selecting a Bottletop Dispenser on Amazon.com
A bottletop dispenser, also known as a bottletop burette, is used to repeatedly and accurately dispense a measured amount of liquid, commonly between 1mL and 50mL, from a bottle using a manually-depressed plunger. A lab bottletop dispenser often fits a standard bottle or comes with an adapter that attaches to a non-standard bottle. Some dispensers are adjustable, with an analog or digital dial to control the volume of liquid to be dispensed. Many dispensers are designed to dispense hazardous or aggressive liquids, volatile solvents, or reagents, and they are made of materials that are compatible with such liquids. To prevent waste or accidental discharge, some dispensers have a valve that closes to recirculate liquid without dispensing or that purges air bubbles from the system. Some bottletop dispensers can be autoclaved for sterility. Dispensers are typically used in chemistry, biology, and other scientific settings.
