Selecting a Circulating Bath on Amazon.com
Circulating baths are used in laboratory and research applications to keep specimens at a constant temperature. A circulating water bath can be used either to heat or cool specimens, and some provide both capabilities. A heated circulating water bath, sometimes called a circulation heater, is used to heat or thaw specimens, and a refrigerated circulating bath is used to remove heat from specimens and keep them at a safe temperature. While a heated circulating bath has the heater and circulator built into the bath, a thermal immersion circulator is a mechanism independent of the bath in which it placed. Features to consider when purchasing a circulating bath include capacity, bath footprint and available space, temperature range, and power source requirements. Manufacturers include Polyscience.
