This set is adequate for a beginner. The flasks included are probably my least favorite - the largest is 500mL, and there is only one. In addition, the smallest - I think 25mL - came in something like 14/20, which is totally useless with the rest of it. There are some nice extras, though some a bit inexplicable: a West condenser (in addition to the Liebig), a 125mL separatory funnel with ground upper and lower joints, and a Claisen adapter. Another nice little extra is that what might be called the distillation tail has a vacuum take-off for vacuum distillations, should you be brave enough to attempt it (and acts as a pressure vent if not).

Overall, quite nice, especially for the price.
