Seamstress Cinnia York wants more than performing with a traveling vaudeville troupe—she wants to put down roots. As a young girl, I spent lots of my free time lying on my bed reading about fascinating characters having exciting adventures in places far away and in other time periods. In later years, I discovered and devoured family saga stories and romance novels. At a certain point, I grew cocky enough to think I could write one of these stories. Then I learned what a balancing act writing a novel is, but I wasn’t deterred. Twelve years later, my first fiction sale was achieved--a confession story.
After reading Debra Holland’s “Montana Sky” series and Caroline Fyffe’s “Prairie Hearts” series, I wanted to try my hand at historicals. I was thrilled to be invited to contribute to Sweetwater Springs Christmas and continued writing in the Montana Sky world by developing my Entertainers of the West series.
Married with 4 adult children and 2 granddaughters, I now write heartwarming contemporary and historical stories with a touch of humor and a bit of sass from my home in the southern California mountains. Lots of my stories are set in Texas where I lived for a dozen years.

Linda Carroll-Bradd weaves this story with beautiful description and authentic details, bringing to life a sweet romance plucked out of the post-Civil War era. With so many books under her belt, it would have been difficult to decide which one to read first, so I’m glad Laced By Love came recommended.

This story is book #1 in Entertainers of the West, Montana Sky Series and the author’s writing drew me into her vividly portrayed Montana territory on page one.

Cinnia York and Nic Andrews, both drawn into Morgan's Crossing, Montana, found love where they least expected. Nic appears in this remote area to lay low in order to hide a family secret. Cinnia arrives with a vaudeville troupe, but when the owner absconds with the money and leaves the actors stranded, Cinnia is delighted as her biggest desire is to settle down and open a dressmaker's shop.

You’ll feel like you’re in the story with this author’s accurate details. If you love well-written historical stories, I highly recommend Laced by Love.

Cinnia has always wanted to have her own business as a seamstress and settle down, but Nola, her sister, is opposed to putting down roots. Trouble begins when the troupe’s manager abandons the group in Morgan’s Crossing and decisions need to be made among the members. Meanwhile, there is an attraction growing between Cinnia and Nic.

This series of Montana Sky Kindle World stories let us see into the past of how the Montana territory was populated and developed. The story of Cinnia York and Nic Andrews was a fascinating look into very different lives of people who both travel to Morgan's Crossing, Montana, for very different reasons. Nic is hiding out trying to keep the family's tanning secret process under wraps until his father gets the patent on this process. He is being hunted by people who want to steal this secret. Cinnia comes to town with a vaudeville troupe, but secretly wants to settle in one place and open a dressmaker's shop. After the owner of the troupe takes off with all the money overnight, Cinnia gets her chance to open her shop with Nic's help. This is a really good story.

This "Montana Sky" series is so fantastic. I love western stories I love stories of the 1800's, these are both. Each and every writer in this wonderful series of books is super knowledged of the facts of the times and of the locations which is in all the books. Of course there is love, adventure and ... lots of cold!
It is so interesting and may I mention educational in the history of the West.
Thank you all of you writers, I so much enjoyed all the stories that I was quite upset when I realised this one "Laced By Love" (Kindle Worlds) by Linda Carroll-Brass was the last book in the series. I think every reader should get these great stories, you won't be sorry and remember them each day, maybe daydream about them.

Well-crafted story with healthy doses of humor. Definitely made me want to read more from this author.

The storyline is original and well-built. An abundance of details about life at that time contributes to the overall authenticity of the story; the thorough research the author obviously did really comes through.

The characters are nicely developed and consistent throughout the story, story that flows very well.

One negative I need to mention: the ending felt really abrupt. An epilogue would have been nice! This is why I removed a star.

Suspending reality is part of reading historical, romantic fiction, but I found part of this story to be totally unnecessary. The miners wishing for an hour's time because of a promise made by someone else seemed too ridiculous and had no real bearing on the story. The acceptance of a group of women from a vaudeville troupe (especially one who does gymnastics) seemed too good to be true.
I did like the characters however, but as there was very little focus on a developing loving relationship I would hardly call this book a romance .
