As LACHI grew, the incessant, often physical, teasing from others grew as well and LACHI would turn to the keys for comfort. After a surgery to correct a severe lazy eye, LACHI's confidence increased and she became more social and gained some popularity points with her many musical endeavors at the University of North Carolina. This propelled her to move to New York City.
Though LACHI eventually became a social butterfly, inside she was still that quiet, thoughtful person true to her insecurities who continued to express this side of herself alone to the keys. Consequently, the ugliness LACHI faced growing up has enabled her to create music more beautiful than if she hadn't dealt with such things. Now, LACHI and her very talented all-blind band are ready to bring her timeless songbook to the world via the soulful and stirring LACHI album.
