I’m reading some of the other reviews and just wanted to say I enjoy this stuff! But maybe it’s how I prepare it? I dump one scoop in my afternoon pumpkin spice k-cup coffee with heavy cream. The extra chai spices in this just ramp up the flavor of my coffee and sweeten it a little. I think it’s awesome! The powder is “heavy”, so will sink to the bottom of a cup of coffee, so just keep swirling my cup to mix it while enjoying it.

So maybe others are trying it by itself?? I have no idea. It tastes like chai - as advertised.

I’ve never had great milk production - I’m more of a just-enougher and have been the same way with every kid. I tried the booster to see if I’d be able to pump a little more as I don’t respond well to the pump. I’ve been using just the Haakaa collection cups and have been getting 3-4oz every morning just from that, which is huge for me! Enough to have a freezer stash for those mom trips to Target when dad is home with baby and needs to offer a feed. I’ve made enough excess milk now that I’ll probably donate it which I’m pretty pumped about.

So not a HUGE increase, but enough for me to freeze some excess every day.

The moral?? I guess it is to put it in your coffee with cream and swirl it around frequently! Or add it to a smoothie or something (ya know, like the instructions say!!) I WILL be ordering again. 👍👍

Taste is inaccurate but ‘okay’, works for lactation

There’s a surprising number of comments on here relating the taste of this booster powder to ‘feet’, ‘dirt’, or other undesirable in-edibles. After reading those comments, I’m here to share my take.

To start, this is marketed as “vanilla chai” in flavor. If you’re picturing smooth vanilla ice cream over a warm cup of spiced chai latte, you’re in for serious disappointment. This doesn’t really taste that much like vanilla, nor chai. The powder itself kind of smells like these two combined, but once you prepare a drink by mixing this in with yourself favorite milk alternative, you no longer taste those notes at all. It is somewhat ‘earthy’, and a bit rich- perhaps like if you were to take those general flavors and blend them in with a bit of dried roots and mild tasting mushrooms.

So, is it ‘good’? I would say, it’s somewhat palatable. Not something I look forward to drinking, not something I actively wouldn’t drink. The good news is, as it is a mild flavor that doesn’t go too far in any direction, it may be easily masked with dried fruits and nut butter as suggested on the package: blend it with dates and nut butter to form a proper latte.

I’ve purchased this company’s ‘lactation bites’ a few times now. How does this compare? For one, it’s way more affordable - 20 servings of this vs 12 servings of cookies for roughly similar price. The bites are delicious, but dense, and in my last batch- the cookies melted in the mail and ended up having their turmeric butter ingredient separated out, all over the place, in the sealed package. That made them quite messy and less appetizing to eat. You also have to be craving a snack before eating one, since they’re quite filling. This booster is better for a pick-me-up dessert beverage any time of day, as it’s mostly nut milk once prepared.

Would I buy this booster again? I’m not sure. I might try either their ‘lactation protein powder’ or the lactation powder of a competitor, to see if it might taste actually-good. I do think these are helping my milk supply given my results so far, which is why I buy them. Hope that helps anyone else considering these.

This product didn’t help me at all. Opposite, it noticely decreased the amount of milk I used to pump. I followed all the instruction, used it twice a day following Majka recipe smoothie. Nothing. Besides it tastes awful. But everyone is different, I watched YouTube videos of some happy moms. Unfortunately for me didn’t do any good, only worse.

Product works great, but you might not care for the taste

After trying various other sugary supplements/drinks I found that this worked best for myself. However, I can totally understand why some people wouldn't care for the taste or texture. Texture is a bit gritty, and for the caloric trade off, the taste is what one would imagine it to taste like - let's just say it doesn't exactly taste like sbux's chai tea latte (but who wants all those extra sugar/calories). I personally don't mind the taste, but I have found that adding a bit of cocoa or matcha powder for a nice change in routine. So far it has increased (from ~23oz) and kept my milk supply consistent (I now pump ~35-45oz a day), and has helped with keeping my energy levels throughout the day. Overall I'd recommend this product to anyone, it's not just a supplement that focuses on breast milk, but making sure that you as a female feel good. Again, don't fall in love with the "vanilla chai" taste that you might be thinking of, you'll be setting yourself up for an abrupt awakening.
