"In her debut, Henry serves up a healthy dose ofSouthern humor and style with 18 lively stories that cleverly turn conventionalideas about Southern womanhood on their heads. Here are heroines who aren'talways graceful, polite and hyper feminine, nor are they always full ofquick-witted sass. Instead, they're flawed and often misunderstood but stillhopeful...Told with a fresh, sensitive voice, likely toappeal to readers who appreciate Southern culture in all its myriad forms." - Kirkus Reviews
"Henry writes with a powerful, authentic voice...a wonderful sense of place...insighful, humorous, and uplifting." - Chanticleer Reviews
"All of the stories are told with warmth, humor, and insight into human nature. They may take place in a specific locale, but the themes are universal. Like the call of the Lowcountry, readers will find themselves wanting to return to these pages again and again."
