About the Author
Dr. Brianne Grogan, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy originally from Portland, Oregon. Inspired by her own pregnancy and postpartum struggles, Brianne chose to specialize in the field of women’s health physical therapy with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. In 2009 Brianne left the traditional role as a clinician and started her own fitness revolution, FemFusion Fitness. She does not believe in “one size fits all” diet and exercise plans, but stands by her motto: for vibrant health, eat clean, and move every day. Today, Brianne enjoys a fulfilling career as a certified women's health and nutrition coach, author, FemFusion group fitness instructor, and her most important (and soul-satisfying) roles of all: wife and mother.

As an aside, she expressed initial skepticism about Brianne's advice about a midnight snack, and thus some skepticism of Brianne's judgement. To be clear, Brianne suggests a healthy and nourishing snack of apple sprinkled with chia seed (if I remember my mom correctly). We discovered that friends of the family had adopted similar *healthy* nighttime snacks as their own antidote to insomnia... so even this lone claim my mother disagreed with from Brianne's suggestions turned out to be a practice that many people arrived at by their own design and found helpful. Of course, an unhealthy midnight snack like a full on sandwich is a very different story, and those we know with such a habit have not enjoyed long lives.
As for the book, it’s great. She really speaks to you like a friend. It’s not lecturee (is that a word, lol) it’s informative and fun.
