Grohe 30226DC0 LadyLux Cafe Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet
The Ladylux Café Touch delivers the convenience of touch operation in an elegantly contemporary gooseneck design. Powered by a 6V lithium battery, the kitchen faucet allows busy cooks to start and stop the flow of cold water with a touch on its spout, thus preventing the spread of bacteria. The start temperature of the water can be set via the GrohTherm Micro thermostat, which protects against scalding.
The faucet can also be manually operated to dispense cold and hot water via a side lever handle. A GROHE SilkMove cartridge in the handle ensures smooth, precise control of the water temperature and volume. Other features include a 360-swivel spout and a pull-down spray head with dual spray modes and locking spray control. The LadyLux Café Touch has a 1.75-gpm flow rate and comes in scratch-resistant, non-tarnishing GROHE StarLight chrome or SuperSteel InfinityFinish.
The Ladylux Café Touch is equipped with touch technology, which allows busy cooks to start and stop the flow of cold water with a simple touch on the faucet’s spout using their wrist, forearm or the back of their hand. Touch technology prevents cross contamination in the kitchen and helps keep the faucet’s surface clean and free of bacteria.
GrohTherm Micro (34507000) - Perfect water temperature
Ladylux Café Touch comes with GrohTherm Micro, a thermostat installed under the sink that ensures optimal water temperature whenever the faucet is activated by touch. GrohTherm Micro allows users to set the temperature to their needs and protects against scalding.
Ladylux Café Touch's handle incroporates a GROHE SilkMove cartridge for effortless control of water volume and temperature. Unlike cartridges used by other manufacturers, which are rarely made in-house, SilkMove cartridges are made by GROHE and contain gliding ceramic disks that are specially coated with a Teflon lubricant for friction-free movement.
Durable ceramic cartridge
In addition to operating with ease and precision, Ladylux Café Touch's handle is designed for long-lasting performance. Instead of the plastic discs used in other faucets, SilkMove cartridges feature discs made of durable ceramic to ensure extreme wear resistance and reliability for years to come.
Ladylux Café Touch comes in GROHE StarLight chrome or SuperSteel InfinityFinish, lustrous finishes that will not fade with time. Available on the full spectrum of GROHE finishes, GROHE StarLight technology uses a unique layered plating process to protect faucet surfaces against dirt, scratches and tarnish. Faucets retain their brilliance through years of use.
SpeedClean technology protects the spray nozzles on the pull-out spray head against limescale buildup. The silicon nozzles are easily cleaned with a simple wipe of the finger.

Top customer reviews
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
They look great, the flow is good, but the systems drove us nuts with turning on and off by themselves, until we fixed the issue.
The key to stopping the faucet turning itself on and off all the time is to isolate all the water lines so they don't touch each other. That, and earthing the yellow wire to the cold water copper pipe (and not a metal sink) are the keys to happy ownership.
I used "16mm Heat Shrinkable Tube Shrink Tubing Wire Wrap" to isolate each of the flexible water lines which stopped them touching each other, which simulates a person touching the faucet to turn it on (test it by moving the water lines around under your sink).
The system is now behaving itself fine, and is serving it's purpose just fine. Grohe should ship these faucets with the isolating pipe wrap (or better yet, provide non metallic or sheathed metallic connecting hoses for these systems.
This product is now installed properly and working great.
How easily a consumer can be mislead during installation.
Bottom line was the holes were drilled to close to the stainless sink and the faucet was touching it disabling the touch functionality.
My solution was to find a plumber familiar with faucets with touch functionality because they can be a little tricky.
It now works great.
It's now Dec 22.
My contractor said he cannot find a plumber who will touch the install. They have had issues with the unit after installing it and will not work with the Grohe touch.
I contacted our kitchen design center and counter top fabricator (they sell all brands of sinks faucets etc., they even had this faucet on display late last summer in their showroom). I asked them for a recommendation for a plumber. They said the same thing as my contractor. This faucet seems to be an issue.
Let me see if Grohe can provide a solution.
I may upgrade this review at a later date.
During the install process learned a few critical things.
1) Grohe cust svc is virtually non-responsive. Sent an email 2 weeks ago about install issues. Just got a generic email today about contacting if problems still exist.
2) The install instructions really are bad. Very few words. Just diagrams with X's and checks. Worst I've ever seen. It's no wonder an experienced plumber had major difficulty. They even referred too a yellow wire as a yellow hose at one point. Did they hire out specification instruction to a illiterates?
My suggestion to anyone who purchases is to get a plumber who has installed a similar item in the past. It should be a basic install so, get a price up front.
My first install resulted in touching the sink, turning on the kitchen lights or, any generic action ended up turning on (or off) the touch faucet. I know its an install issue. But it was by an experienced plumber with a set of bad directions. Guess you need to go to a special Grohe course to learn how to do the install.
1) This product was installed before we really used the kitchen so I'm not sure if it our water pressure or the low flow device but the water flow is very slow.
2) The pull down faucet does not naturally go back into the proper docking position, not super important but I'm hoping we can straighten this out.
3) Finish is fantastic
Note: to avoid accidental on and off, you need to "firmly" secure the ground cable with the provided copper tape. Installation is not difficult (a couple of hours). In my case, I needed to get extensions (from Lowes) for the supply lines.
I noticed that it keep doing, one day I tried to test it by placing the big container in the sink, the water filled up the tank. That is why my bill went up higher. It happens when I'm not home and at night time.
When I called customer services they did not want to take responsibility for the product.
