Lucky is an ordinary guy. He wants more out of life then writing scripts for reality TV but hasn't found the guts to take a chance. When he meets up with Tally, his life changes.
At first, I didn't like Tally very much. I saw her as a user. I was worried Lucky would get hurt as she set out to get to know him in an effort to be hired on the show he was writing for. Lucky was such a nice guy who didn't really see what Tally was doing, but Ms. Ayala quickly turns things around and we see the real reason behind both characters and now Tally is the one falling hard for Lucky and being forced to decide between her dreams and her happily ever after.
Written among the world of reality TV, the storyline shows how the shows aren't real but are tweaked for maximum drama. Ms. Ayala does a wonderful job of setting the mood and placing the characters then twists the image to show you a different side of their lives... and the motivation behind who they are.
Quite a fun read and certainly one that will keep you entertained.
Lucky was a nice guy. I liked how he was shy and nervous to make the first move on Tally. And I felt like Tally was his perfect match even though she was trying to be "bad".
This was a well written story that kept my attention from start to finish. I look forward to reading more about these characters.
Tally has such a loving dedication to her family and especially her twin sister. She would do anything for the sweet and generous girl that she grew up with. With that in mind, Tally decides to chase after her dream of becoming an actress. It turned out to be a road with more rejections then opportunities, but Tally just can’t give up. She longs to make her sister and her family proud, so she presses on. Lucky is living day by day doing something he never really wanted. However, until something better comes along, he keeps trudging along. When Tally and Lucky’s paths cross in an unlikely place, they know there is the possibility of something more then what they have now. When Lucky agrees to help Tally fulfill her dream, she begins to question what it is she really wants. Fate has given her a chance at something wonderful if she will only treasure and nurture it. Will Tally figure out what her heart truly yearns for, or will she decide to listen to her heart too late and miss out on the best opportunity of her life?
I never expected anything like Lucky and Tally’s story that gently and brilliantly unfolded before me. My heart was hesitant about giving into what I felt was going to strip it down to its barebones, but nothing worth having is ever easy. Their story proved that old adage to be more then true. What we think we want isn’t always what our hearts are reaching out for. We need to learn that when something incredible comes into our life, we need to grab hold of it and let go of things that diminish in its presence. Look, feel, and dare to live being guided by your heart, and I don’t think any of us would regret it in the end.
I have been privileged to experience and savor another of Rachelle Ayala’s magnificent works of art. Each story she molds and shapes is truly a source of unspeakable inspiration and hope. There is honestly nothing better them immersing yourself in one her of amazing books. You will walk away with a new piece to the puzzle that they call life and find that you can take another step in your own journey even when you have no more energy left.
This story is a great "be careful of what you ask for" story. Tally is positive she knows what she wants. But when she gets it, is it what she wants? Rachelle has written a funny engaging story. The reader is drawn into the story from the beginning & kept engaged by the mishaps that seem to follow Tally & Lucky around. The romance is light & sweet. Loved this book & the characters!
The story is very well developed and the characters are great. I had problem with Tally in the beginning but she really grew on me and Lucky is the antihero-hero, the boy-next-door- hero that you cant help but love and fall for. The story is so great and the characters helps to drive the story forward.
If you havent read the series about Laguna Beach the story may be a bit confusing because there is some namedroppings but I didnt find it any problem and I havent read the Laguna Beach series before.
This is a summer story I really enjoyed and can recommend to others. I find this a fresh story that is perfect for the summer.
