Of course, Cole and Melanie are made for each other. After agreeing to an arranged one-night-stand facilitated by a matchmaker with "extrasensory powers", they meet for their magical evening. It turns out way different than what they expected, and that's where the story takes off with twists and turns that finally help Cole and Melanie realize that it's time to open up their hearts to the right person who would not let them down.
I enjoyed this quick read.
Of course, Cole's daughter Rose stole the show. An adorable little girl with so much spunk. Don't let her catch you saying a bad word.
A delightful read. I look forward to more books by Melissa Keir.
I loved Melissa Keir's twist on the fated love story and her characters were adorable and heartfelt. She managed to deftly tie in the original Laguna Nights books as well. If you're looking for a good, quick read that touches your heart, pick this one!
This book was nothing like I expected it to be. I loved the way the author took a different slant on a romance book, it wasn't all about sex and boy meets girl and they jump into bed. It was a look into people's lives and how their life changes after a turn of fate, it's how they can change their lifestyle and their outlook on life when they really have to.
I love the way the author goes into the background of them and built up a picture of them and who they were, then you jump forward a few years and see how far they have come and what they have made of their lives, how they look at what they want from a relationship. It's a beautiful romance and down to earth, like what happens in real life.I loved it the way friends and family give them a push if they need it or not whether they think they need someone special in their life or they think they can cope well enough on their own. Through their friends intervention they can find true love if only they'd let themselves look. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes a love story with a real life feel to it, I had a range of emotions through it and could see how they felt at every turn off the page, a great book.
Laguna Beach: One Night in Laguna is a sweet, quick read. Although both Melanie and Cole were guarded personalities, having made mistakes and been hurt by their past, they had more in common than they thought. Both of them understood the false veneer or show business, and both of them had a common interest in children - Melanie as a teacher and Cole as a father. I enjoyed their interaction and the exploration of their new relationship. The unexpected concern regarding Cole's daughter allowed Melanie to reveal her true colours, settling Cole's doubts about her intentions.
The actions of Master Draikoh San the matchmaker, are downright scary, and his knowledge of the adventures of the night put a shiver up my spine!
A sweet love story with an HEA.
