Ms. Shawn (Melanie and Shawna) bring you into the tale of these two characters who both need a break...they have been beating themselves up for things outside their control. Griff blames himself for how he acted as a writer on Laguna Nights and Cheyenne blames herself for always putting her twin sister, Denver, first.
Their story is very believable as they come together. Sparks fly right away but the romance builds as they interact with each other and the people around them. I love that Summer and Dillon recognized the attraction first. Really shows sometimes Love is Blind!
This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Characters are well developed and likable.
Was given as ARC in return for honest review.
Griff Hudson is in a similar position to Cheyenne, however he's a writer, not an artist. After a decade of having the worst case of writer's block ever, he hopes that something will help turn it around. There is no chance he would have ever expected it would be the tenant that his friend Summer suggested to him that would be able to pull him out of the deep writing hole he has been in.
As the Griff and Cheyenne begin to spend time together, their connection is undeniable and Ginger Snap, Griff's dog, also helps to bring them closer together. But, will the baggage that each of them carries from earlier in their lives derail their budding romance?
Melanie Shawn did a great job of telling a fantastic story with compelling characters in this novella. A truly enjoyable read.
An ARC was provided for an honest review.
