From the Author
My lifelong love hasbeen stories with gripping plots driven by logic, heroes and heroinesdriven by impassioned values and desires, and places and action anddialogue that carry me away to "the homeland of my soul." Nothing brings these together like a battle for justice, a struggle for love and thefulfillment of sexual passion, the obsessive need to understand amystery, a problem, a threat. My first novel, "The Price of HannahBlake," will be followed soon by more novels, a second book of poetry, and a collection of essays and stories.
I grew up on a farm inMassachusetts, but I've spent my career in New York City as a writer, publishing more than 100 articles, essays, and stories and helpingfoundations, museums, hospitals, schools, conservation organizations, and all sorts of other good causes with my writing talents. With thisexperience, and my long love affair with poetry (you can find my book,"Touched By Its Rays" on Amazon), I think you will find I am a stylistwhose writing will be a pleasure to read--and will take you into places, characters, and the heart of action in a way that will make the pagesfly by.
I have been writing a LOT before publishing "HannahBlake," just because I love to write, and in fairly short order pleaselook for my next novels: "The Lailly Worm," "O Human Child," and "SureFire." Also, a book of short stories and another book of poetry! Wehave a long trip to make together.
I want to hear from you.Every author does, unless so "celebrated" that he or she has gone intohiding. If you have another minute, I can explain something. Authorson Amazon NEED readers because reader reviews and ratings are the goldstandard for other readers, because sales move a book up in prominenceon the Amazon site, and because authors need the insights only readerscan provide. (Not to leave out that it's such a great feeling to get amessage from a reader who understands your work and loves the world youhave created in a book!)
So if you like my books, write a review. Brief is fine, sometimes better, but express yourself. And write tome anytime, and often, at WDonway@Gmail.com or my book imprint:RomanticRevolutionBooks.com. I'm on Facebook, too--the only WalterDonway there, I think.
