Shannyn has done it again with this book. This is the last book in the series and I was disappointed. The author knows how to draw you in from the beginning and keep you focused until the end. You'll have some raw emotions going on in parts of this story but also parts that will touch your heart.
Avery & CeCe will take you on their journey from how it all started. You'll learn everything you need to about both of them but also learn about their pasts. Avery being the lead singer of his band Inch Away will stop at nothing for the woman he wants and that's CeCe. He doesn't care what anyone will say but he will respect CeCe. CeCe is the business manager and she's been down this road before however she's never felt like she does with Avery. Can the two work things out so they both can be happy?
You'll read about two characters who form a love but don't realize it until a little later than they should've. A love that once it's formed will stick like glue and no matter what secrets you hold, love will overcome.
Great job to the author on another amazing book. I highly recommend.
Avery is a struggling musician who gets his big shot when his sister Abby's boyfriend Riley signs his band up with his label.
Cece is Riley's sister and for the past few years has been keeping his label going after he left to deal with his personal issues. At a party she meets Avery and they hook-up. When she is placed to manage his band she finds herself wanting more than a quick fling with Avery and she can feel that he wants it too. But her past interferes and the fact that their siblings are dating and she is his manager. Can she overcome these obstacles that seem to obstruct the way to her happily ever after?
Ah...the final family member of the McAdams family. Avery has the sweetest disposition and whether it be due to the four sibling sisters (all of which were met in detail in the series prior releases) or his artistic tendencies, this man hits all the "Aww" notes. Tender, caring, protective, musician, the list goes on and on. Of course a man like this exists. In fiction. But what a journey it was.
Cece Boyd and Avery met when her brother, Riley brought Abby back to his home in Oakston. Her relationship with Abby started off rocky but there were definite sparks flying between Cece and Avery.
Then when this book opens it has been a few months since that first meeting. A few months of Cece hiding from Avery.
Cece has been preparing to manage bands again since Riley is back as CEO of Torsten Label. Riley decided that the band deserved the best so he assigned Cece to manage Avery's band.
Cece is very professional but she is also very interested in Avery. The story is fresh and has so many layers. There are secrets that when revealed might break up any chance they have. But secrets that are not revealed leave room for mistrust and confusion. That certainly was the case here.
The music festival was so vividly written I feel like I was there, grabbing up souvenirs and meeting the bands.
The McAdam's family are all accounted for here and you get to share some more time with the couples. Peyton is getting closer to having her babies.
There are many side stories that just pull you in and make you feel that you really know and love this family. I want to read about the Caliendo family in the Lake series with the hopes that the McAdams' couples show up.
This series is really a great one to read.
