About the Author
Kat Flannery has loved writing ever since she was a girl. She is often seen jotting her ideas down in a little black book. When not writing, or researching, Kat enjoys snuggling on her couch with a hot chocolate and a great book.
Her first novel, CHASING CLOVERS became an Amazon’s bestseller in Historical and Western romance. This is Kat’s second book, and she is currently hard at work on the third.
When not focusing on her creative passions, Kat is busy with her three boys and doting husband

Otakatay, is a half-Sioux, half-white outcast, a bounty hunter, his quest to earn enough money to complete a quest he has set for himself, he has turned into a killer of innocent women at the behest of a white man with a vendetta against witches.
Their paths cross when her father is killed, and the town’s richest man is determined to make her his trophy wife, and someone else has put a price on her head. Otakaty has been hired to kill her, but finds that he can’t, and instead decides that he will protect her, even if it means losing his own life.
Lakota Honor by Kat Flannery is a chilling tale of prejudice, betrayal, and violence, set in the old West. Two people sharing similar stigma as outcasts, take different paths that wind up intersecting, and discover that love can heal old wounds and help in forging new beginnings.
This is not your typical western. Even with the supernatural element, it’s not as vapid as some of the genre-fusion novels, such as Cowboys and Aliens. Trust me, you won’t have to be a western fan to enjoy it.
Nora's compassion causes her to heal, even thought it could cause threats to her life. In her forest wanderings, Nora comes across a Lakota bounty hunter, Otakatav, who has been hired to kill those with healing powers. But Nora's spunk and love stays his hand. Several times Norah faced death, but kept her loving disposition and sought to subtly bring about healing and comfort to those who crossed her path.
Kat Flannery has spun a tale filled with interesting characters and plot twists. It was hard to put down this story and I stayed up late to finish. Otakatay's quest to earn money for a purpose, his mixed feelings for Norah, and threats on Norah's life spiral the couple into life-changing challenges. This is definitely a story worth reading. You will not be disappointed.
I also laughed and felt the love when his horse laid his head on Nora's shoulder. The pain and the love of the wolf called Savage (she named Pal).
Nora had a gift for healing, the Otakatay and the people had a view for killing.
How could they both come together and fall in love? You will feel their strong emotions good and bad, but will love them both. Good story! Great writing!
