"Lala Pettibone’s Act Two provides a breezy, enjoyable read full of clever humor and whimsical situations. Despite the comical take, Lala’s journey of self-discovery serves as effective inspiration for people seeking to get themselves out of a rut."(Foreword Reviews)
"Heidi Mastrogiovanni's debut novel is a masterful, spirited adventure. Whether Lala Pettibone is adoring her rescue dogs, processing life's curveballs or drooling over a new lust interest, she'll win your heart and keep you laughing. A tale that proves blooming after heartache is more than possible, you may just discover more of yourself in the process. Brava, Ms. Mastrogiovanni! The world needs more Lala Pettibone." - August McLaughlin, founder of Girl Boner(August McLaughlin, founder of Girl Boner)
From the Back Cover
Ever the one to make limoncello out of lemons, Lala reluctantly decides to sublet her apartment and visit her Auntie Geraldine in Los Angeles. Good things come her way in sunny LA, including Dr. David, a handsome veterinarian, and inspiration to transform her previously rejected, uproarious, screenplay into a novel.

Top customer reviews
Reluctantly transplanted to California, Lala gets by as she always has, with a combination of joie de vivre and chutzpah. She quickly finds work, friends, and men, none of them quite right for her. She is comforted by her beloved dogs, large pitchers of assorted cocktails, and infinite episodes of Say Yes to the Dress. As she stumbles on her path to a happier Act Two, she is repeatedly rescued by a couple of remarkable women: her best friend Brenda and her aunt Geraldine. Their loyalty to Lala and her love for them are compelling elements in the story. And though Lala sometimes exhibits questionable judgment (as who among us has not?) about romance, work, money, geography, clothing, food, and just about everything else, she is so gutsy and likable that we can’t help rooting for her. The book leaves us happy about how Lala starts her Act Two and wishing we could know more about how things turn out for her and everyone she knows.
Pick up Heidi's book and go on a romp with Lala Pettibone.
