I buy several pairs of sheep skin slippers for myself and my husband every year since 2007 from Amazon. And this is the second pair this year that arrived with a woven wool lining instead of real sheep skin shearling. I'd also recently bought and returned another brand's sheep skin slippers that was lined with woven wool fabric (Tamarac by Slippers International Men's Cody Sheepskin Slipper). Is this what "sheep skin" slipper manufacturers are doing now? Very disappointing.
The build of the slippers themselves still look the same, but the material is not any longer.
One note: my feet at size 13 (US Male), so I got the XL slippers. They're slightly smaller than I would have liked, but nothing that impacts their quality. If you're stuck between two sizes, get the larger.
The new pair has been a disappointment. The insole is apparently synthethic now and not sheepskin. The heel of the insole wore out in less than a year. Additionally, the soles must be made of a less durable material. They too have worn through in less than a year. See pictures of both.
I'm not sure if anything changed in the manufacturing process but I would steer clear until there is an improvement.

Very happy with these slippers. I hope they last a long time (some don't).Published 11 months ago by EzInstructions
I didn't like these. They weren't super comfortable and have a very unattractive shape. Granted, no one really wears slippers for aesthetics. Read morePublished 16 months ago by Grant
Love these! They fit a bit snug on day one until the fluffy insides compress and form to your foot, and then they're heavenly. Very well made! I will purchase these again! Read morePublished 16 months ago by Amazon Customer
the heel could be another 1/4" higher for more comfort, but comfortable to wear as is.
