The old Victorian house drew her in at first sight. Neglected and having a creepy reputation for being haunted as well as being full of secret rooms and oddities- Zoe is in love at first sight- she has to have it- so Lancaster House becomes hers.
Lancaster House was built by Andre Lancaster as a gift to his wife Adelle. Having been a craftsman at Winchester House he had incorporated some of the oddities into his home- and Zoe is fascinated. Then she learns that he murdered his wife and her lover in 1930- and hasn't been seen since..
Soon Zoe becomes aware that odd things are happening. Work is completed that she knows she didn't finish, food and drink appear at her bedside table, she feels a presence around her...Then one night she is attacked by a burglar- and he ends up thrown out a window and killed- in a way that wasn't possible....by a darkly dangerous handsome man no one can see but her...
Andre Lancaster has never left his home. He still exists there in a half life existence...not a ghost...not a vampire...just "there". He and Zoe fall passionately in love but Zoe is so caught up in him she stops living an outside life. Then a visit from her evil fiancé that ends in another death brings the police to her door....and eventual confinement in a psychiatric hospital. Her Dr Wade Channing is fascinated by her and her story but believes her to be paranoid schizophrenic and delusional but as things keep not adding up even he has to admit there is more than meets the eye at Lancaster House.....
Great story- riveting - cannot wait to see how it ends...
Another thing I really liked about this book was the fact that I never found a spelling error to distract me from the story. That is an amazing thing when it comes to kindle books.
