Blog postTime for a Christmas post…
What do these images have in common?
They are related but in a way that might surprise you.
Let’s take a look at the first image. It is the face or vase illusion. Here is what Wiki says:
Face or vase illusion or Rubin’s vase is a cognitive optical illusion developed around 1915 by the Danish psychologist Edgar Rubin. The illusion generally presents the viewer with a mental choice of two interpretations, each1 year ago Read more -
Blog postI survived the Ridgecrest California earthquakes of 2019. Actually, the aftershocks are ongoing and I’m feeling one as I type this post. Hopefully, the big stuff is over and we can get back to normal life. The earthquakes caused lots of damage but much of that can be repaired. What is more profound than broken glass and cracked walls is the impact on the human psyche. I’ve lived in California for 19 years and have experienced many minor earthquakes. Blog postCheck out my new book on Amazon Have you ever used the wrong tool for a task like using a butter knife as a screwdriver? I have. I didn’t appreciate using the right tool for the job until I was older, more mature and saw a better way.
My experience with a butter knife taught me a lot about a screwdriver. If I let go of the frustration associated with the task and don’t take it personally, I can see that a butter knife is not the right tool for the screwdriver j2 years ago Read more -

Blog postThe Cambridge Dictionary says this about a familiar cliché’. If two things are two sides of the same coin, they are very closely related although they seem different: “Violent behaviour and deep insecurity are often two sides of the same coin.”
If you research the history of money you will find imprinted metals (often precious metals) were used as currency. These “coins” were embossed or stamped with images, words, pictures, etc. that gave meaning or validity2 years ago Read more -

When you embrace my divine wisdom you are mindful and have the capacity to see clearly. You will come to experience the reality of who and what you are. That reality of oneness will set you free from the bondage of the egoic illusion of separateness. (FST)

Blog postAs Easter approaches many will reflect upon the deeper meaning of the holiday. It’s natural to ponder concepts like resurrection, a new heaven and a new earth. Christianity has a lot to say about a new heaven and a new earth. There are many doctrines and creeds based on a second coming and an apocalyptic end of the world we live in. But what if we missed the point altogether? What if Jesus wasn’t talking about the annihilation of all living things? What if we misinterpreted the words of Jesus3 years ago Read more

Blog postHow aware are we? To be ourself is to be fully aware. We are awareness. We are not an it or a thing or a body or a mind or thought or emotions or a brain or even the “I” of “I am.” We are the “amness” or existence or beingness that manifests as awareness in and through and with and as this form. We aren’t a story or a person or an idea or a concept or anything that can be observed. We are the first person singular present moment experienced reality. Blog postThe paradox of all paradox…
What do I see? I am the center of my universe which is the center of THE universe which is the center of time and space. And all of time and space is inside of me and has an infinite number of expressions. Blog postHow often are we lost in thought?
If you think about it (pun intended) you are constantly talking to yourself. Who are the players in this dialogue? Who is talking to whom? Who is listening to the dialogue? Who is giving the speech? Who is the objective observer? Can the observer see who is having the conversation? Step back from the conversation. Get a really good look. Who is there?

Flip Side: A guide to waking up
Dec 5, 2018
by
Lance Floyd
$9.95
One of the greatest obstacles to waking up is the unquestionable nature of our traditions. The Christian tradition purports indisputable concepts like Heaven, Hell, Satan, and moral absolutes. Jesus’ words, as we’ve interpreted them, prescribe doctrines of the tradition.
What if Jesus’ intended message was incongruent with the majority of interpretations? What if Jesus’ mindset was beyond our established model?
Have you been looking for evidence to justify a fresh viewpoint?
You’ve arrived. The Flip Side is an enlightened interpretation of the words of Jesus. It’s about waking up to a revelation of who and what you are. It’s a lighthearted account, filled with intimate stories about a personal journey of discovery. Included are Flip Side translations of familiar passages from the Bible.
It’s time for you to take a leap of faith, look outside tradition, and find what you have been searching for. Your answers await you. Scroll up and take a leap today.
