Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Ben Gillman has been a working writer in Los Angeles for the past 10 years. Over his career, he's worked with and learned from writers and performers from "Saturday Night Live," "Mad TV," "Adult Swim," and even the cult-hit "Fernwood 2Night".

He became fascinated with Arthurian legend when he was a kid and "First Knight" (starring Sean Connery as King Arthur) became the first movie he ever saw twice in a movie theater. In college, Ben got a degree in English Literature and engrossed himself with classic Arthurian interpretations like "Le Morte d'Arthur" and "The Once and Future King."

Beyond that, Ben has always been a sucker for fantasy storytelling. His favorite book is William Goldman's "The Princess Bride," and he's also a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, and J.K. Rowling. (Note: Upon writing that last sentence, Ben thinks he should probably reduce his first name down to initials).

I hate to be a cliche - but I have fallen for Lancelot! I am so glad I got an entire book to learn more about this character and I couldn't get enough of each adventure he embarked on! I never wanted this playful and exciting book to end. And of course, we meet other new characters that you can't help but fall for - probably my new favorite character of the whole series is introduced!

I read this book a few months ago and am about to read it again - the playful style of storytelling, the clever quips and witty plays on words, and these characters are calling me back to experience it all over again!

I ordered the whole series a little while ago and I’ve been working my way through them ever since. This one was a lot of fun with lots of monsters and a great hero battling them all. This one also had a lot of humor which almost made it feel like a fairy tale. It was a really fun read!

Action, adventure, and lots of frolicking. Romance, magic, sword-fighting, and some amazingly imaginative beasts. What else could you want in this retelling of the King Arthur legends? Engaging and imaginative writer. I loved all three books, and can't wait to read more. Quick and fun reads.
