Jeff is continuing to look for his father, and along the way he has many adventures and learns more about himself and his father.
This story is well written, the characters real and engaging. Even though the land that Jeff has been thrust into isn't like that of our own, Gary Hoover makes it real. This book is just as good the first one and I hope the last book of the trilogy is just as good.
Gary Hoover is a talented writer who has done his job well in entertaining the reader and eagerly awaiting book three. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
The characters were fleshed out nicely as was the interaction between characters. Dave was very interesting in his creepiness with integrity. I did appreciate the integrity of the main characters and the realistic struggles they went through to maintain it. The world and creatures were very creative while maintaining believability. I can't wait for book three!

I enjoyed the storyline but there is a huge cliffhanger at the end! I also didn't read the first book in the series so it took me a while to work out what the book was about, when I did I really enjoyed it.
It's fast paced with several twists and turns and lots of original gadets that sounded like fun.
in my opinion a twelve year old boy would absolutely love the series.
Further adventures in other worlds that literally had me on the edge of my seat trying to predict what was going to happen all the way through it. I couldn't.
I work in a school and recommend these books to all my kids, perfect for adults and children alike.
Won't speak about the story itself for fear of ruining it, but definitely as good as the first and cannot wait for the final installment.
I mean I literally cannot wait, so please hurry with it;-)
