As a Gluten Free patient, I've been seeking a GOOD GF crumb coating mostly for chicken. MANY of the products contain saturated fats and other, strange, ingredients. THIS one does NOT; although I do suspect the ingredient list to be at least somewhat incomplete since I SUSPECT that water is necessary in the manufacture of the product.
Since it is pure potato, there is nothing to change the taste of the crumbs. It coats chicken wetted with plain water quite nicely and bakes well providing a delightful, crunchy, potatoey (if that's a word) crust. I imagine it would work well with standard breading techniques involving milk or egg coating.
I just wish that stuff like this wasn't so expensive. for me, GF is NOT a lifestyle choice. It is a medical necessity!
