Blue filter over cover of couple in state of partial undress. Synopsis sounds like it would be a quick, fun & dirty ride.

Ms Blackwood has a brand of humor that is truly and completely enjoyable; I'd forgotten how fun her stories are to read! Abby and Gage are both workaholics that travel extensively and reside on opposite coasts, she working in Hollywood and he as an Air Marshal. She's too busy trying to prove herself for an upcoming promotion. He's taking on extra shifts to help his sister raise her daughter. Neither have time for a relationship. When a bumpy ride throws these two together, then snows them in to extend their stay, even the raging blizzard outside is no match for the inferno they ignite in one another.
The characters were strong and independent, well-developed. Their chemistry was scorching hot. Compatibility was lacking some substance. A few minor cameos from secondary characters added a little filler to the plot. Dialogue and interaction was very good. The plot itself was more of a sweet nectar as opposed to a rich and full-bodied indulgement. Story moved along at a nice pace and was written very well, making it extremely easy to read. There were some minor conflicts presented, but none were really truly resolved - location being a big one. There were no surprises and predictability was not an issue at all.
There's a "flash-forward" type epilogue that provides the desired HEA, however (again), some things are never fully addressed.

Abby Winters is driven by her career, scheduling her long days to the minute in the hopes of landing a promotion with her California based production firm. Gage Michaels puts in a lot of time on planes as an Air Marshal, working hard to help his sister with his young niece.
When Gage and Abby end up on the same flight to New York, sparks fly from the moment he sits down next to her. Something about Abby gets to Gage in a way he's never experienced. And Gage's voice alone is enough to make Abby's blood start a slow simmer. By the time the plane lands in NY, neither is ready to say goodbye. They agree to one night, that will end when Gage goes on duty for an early morning flight, and after a night of mind altering passion, neither of them are upset to discover the city, and flights, have all been shut down because of a massive snow storm.
After another full day filled with romance, flirting, and hot steamy sex, they're both wishing the circumstances were different. But neither of them is ready to move across the country or change their job. The question is, will either of them be satisfied again?
Landing the Air Marshal was incredibly steamy, but it was so much more. The flirting and banter between Gage and Abby was clever, and had me rooting for them from the start. The side conversations, Abby with her sister, Gage with is, were great, and I hope we get to hear from those characters in the future.
