This is a fantastic new band and this CD is my favorite of the year so far. I heard Cardiac Arrest on the radio and immediately looked these guys up. Their sound is sort of a blend between The Bravery and Vampire Weekend. They have nice beat and the singer's voice can have some real punch when he wants it to. Language and Perspective is phenomenal and I highly recommend it. The gems of the CD, for me, are:

Cardiac Arrest: The song is so catchy and something everyone can relate to. "I'll try my best, how much do I invest?"

Dancing in Quicksand: A very fluid song, just like dancing in quicksand. Something you can just bob along with and feel.

Take My Love and Run: Provides a more methodic pace and good progression from verse to chorus. On the bridge, goes with a nice blend of harder drums and very melodic instrumentals and vocals.

The only reason this is 3 stars instead of 5 is because this albums has been censored, even though it clearly has the word explicit in the description. This is not the fault of the artist, I’m sure, because I’ve seen recorded live performances of the song and there are curse words in the song. If you’re going to censor the album you should tell people that and sell 2 different versions. I want the music the way the artist intended it to be, that’s why I bought the explicit version.

That being said I love the Bad Suns and all of their music, can’t wait to see them live in Tucson when they come through in July.

I was introduced to "Bad Suns" when "Cardiac Arrest" was the single of the week on iTunes. It was an immediate favorite. Then the EP came out - and that was great! Now the full length CD is here and I wasted no time placing my pre-order for the disc.

It arrived promptly and it's great after one listen. Every song is catchy. Each one is more catchy than the next. This isn't the album that gets five stars because of depth of lyrics, or some other deep reason. It gets five stars because it's summer and this will be the soundtrack. Seriously - it's great fun, catchy, awesome. If you like the song "Cardiac Arrest", you'll like the entire rest of this CD.

The quality of the recording is also better than most in this genre. Most modern recordings totally botch the drums and percussion - this recording does commit some sins but at least the drums have *most of* the proper scale and better "placement" than many typical recordings these days. It's also not as compressed as many recordings - some dynamic range is still present. Happy listening!

My 14-year old daughter introduced me to this band. I love it. It reminds me so much of the music I loved as a kid in the 80s and early 90s. It makes me think if Depeche Mode, REM and The Cure had a baby, it would be this band. Cardiac Arrest has kind of a Tears for Fears vibe. Anyway, it's an excellent album. I recommend.

Bad Suns is my all time favorite band and when I got my record player I immediately thought about getting this vinyl. I have their CD, EP, and MP3 versions of both. So to complete the collection I got the vinyl and j don't regret it for a second. Bad Suns is a fun, upbeat band that I always want to listen to. They sing about problems other than heartbreak and it made me love them anymore. I definitely would recommend them as I always do with people that I run into.

Let me start by saying the songs on this album are quite catchy and the beats are great. Having said that, every song is nearly a carbon copy of the others...verse, chorus, verse, chorus, guitar rift, chorus, a few lines and ends with the chorus again. Every song (except one, I found) follows this pattern and towards the end of the album it gets very noticeable and old.

I'm also left wanting more out of every song; each song seems to tell some kind of story that never gets finished. The first two verses do a decent job of "painting the picture" and then you're left with a guitar rift and a bunch of choruses. This is especially the case with "Cardiac Arrest." It almost seems like they ran out of stuff to sing about. The chorus is sung 4 times and there's a 25 second fade out at the end (like they were doing whatever they could to get the track to be over 3 minutes). The track is 3:03 long but it's really over at 1:42. I want to know more about how this woman puts him in cardiac arrest!

If you're looking for music to run to or to play in the background (at work or gym) then you'll love this album. If you want to sit on the porch and let music engulf your evening while letting the music tell you a story, then this album is not for you.

This album changed my life. I consider myself a music connoisseur. I listen to somewhere around fifty new albums a year (from various genres). And yet, I have been listening to this album for over a year now. I fell in love with it summer of 2014 and can still play the album on REPEAT in November 2015. I had listened to plenty of Alternative Bands such as Grouplove, Atlas Genius, Alt-J, Capital Cities, Twenty One Pilots, The 1975 (the list goes on), but none of them resonate with me the way Bad Suns do. I think it is because the lead sing Christo Bowman recorded this album at age of 19. Also I grew up with the influence of my dad's bands such as The Clash and The Rolling Stones.

Coming from a Generation Z wanna-be hipster who listens to mostly Rap, I can wholeheartedly say that this is my favorite Rock/Punk album of ALL TIME!
