This case is awesome! I’ve been buying cheap waterproof (and they did work for a time) cases from wish for about ten bucks but this is so much worth the little extra money. My biggest gripe with the old cases was that the screen would always stick to the phone, soo annoying it always looked like water spots. The silence button also never worked, it was either on or off and nothing you could do. This case is solid without being overly bulky, it fits together snugly and so do all the ports. All the buttons work too, imagine that! I bought this case because my friend has the same one (and she likes it) and it was shipped to my door for $19. Just get one already, it’s so much better than a life proof at a fraction of the cost.

Can not talk on the phone with the case on

I’ve had this phone case a couple months now. It is a great value for the quality and durability but got a 1 star because you can not talk on the phone with this case on! Every time I need to make a phone call or someone calls me I have to remove the case or else my voice is muffled and no one can hear/understand me. It is a complete pain (and I don’t even talk on the phone that much).

I swam with this thing. Snorkeled with this thing and got great videos and photos on my last vacation. The only issues was taking photos every now and then under water and trying to use the touch screen with my “wet” fingers. I forgot most of the time to use the volume control to take pics so that was my own bad. It was nice to not have to worry about fitting an actual seal in there like other cases I’ve used.

An hour after I got this case on my phone I had it in the bathroom with me while I was watering my spider plant. My cat had decided to put the “water proofing” to the test and knock it into the faucets spout and get water all over it. NOT A DROP GOT IN THE CASE!!! I will never buy another case again!!!

Update: the case broke. It’s side is cracked. I’m not happy. I’m going to call the support system about it

Update 2: someone keeps emailing me asking me if a $5 refund will make things okay even after I got my replacement. I’m glad to see that they care about their customers but this is just excessive.

A good case, but they need to make the headphone jack bigger

I gave this 4/5 only because I had to drill out the headphone jack port on the case and now it is no longer waterproof. I tried 3 different pairs of headphones, but the port was only big enough for the metal part of the connector, not the black plastic that surrounds it at the end (I've included a picture of the 3.5mm jack I'm using with it). It's still mostly waterproof, but I had to make it almost twice the size because it would get stuck at the black plastic part and the jack would only be about 3/4 of the way in.

I like this case better than my former L***P**** case. The screen seems much clearer, and I like seeing the back of the phone. The charger and headphone ports are easier to open and close with flexible rubber-like tabs. I also like that it came with a wrist strap.

The only drawback is that the knob that switches the ringer on and off doesn’t work most of the time. If you use that button often, this would be super annoying.

I’ve only had it for a week, so I can’t comment on its durability, but it seems sturdy enough at the outset.

I got this to replace a Lifeproof case after a few years of abuse. It seems like a really good case. It feels just as impact proof as my old case, although I haven't actually dropped it hard yet. There's a good buffer between the edge of the case and the edge of the phone, and the outer bumper is raised on the front and back. The outer black part is all some kind of hard rubbery plastic material, which seems like it will probably last longer than my old case. The clear panels on the back and on the screen both feel exactly like my old case. The fingerprint scanner works every time. The buttons are all one solid piece of rubber/plastic. It passed my waterproof tests, spraying the seal in my shower and then being held at the bottom of a full bucket with a rock on top of it for 30 minutes. I'm not sure what to think about the wheel that spins the silence button. You could potentially spin it too far and I think it would wear out the little knobs on the inside of the wheel that flip the switch up and down. Why use a wheel to flip a switch instead of another lever? The wheel does work, tho. Another potential downfall is that instead of hinges on the charger and headphone ports they just used flexible rubber, so there's a good chance those will be the first thing to fail. Overall I'd recommend it for the quality and value, I'm trusting it for protection against the elements for things like back country snowboarding, mountaineering, and remote backpacking trips.

This case was not too clunky, almost reasonably good looking, and was stated to be waterproof per spec and drop proof. it comes with a 1 year warranty, and states "lifetime support" which hopefully means that i don't have to buy a new case in a year and a half (there was a card to extend warranty by 6 months with registration). I've had it only 3 days. The instructions state that the waterproofness required the phone, but if the case wasn't waterproof before i put my phone in, it would be returned. Luckily, it passed the waterproof test and i put my phone in. So far, the front button cover works with the finger print option, i think the charge port worked with my "chubby" non-apple cord (I can't find the cord right now, but i think it was a non-apple cord). The power button and the volume buttons are a bit stiff, but not unusable with my weak hands. I haven't tried any of the twisty knobs yet.

main differences vs lifepproof case:
1.Doesnt have a gasket.....which i found fidly as hell when it came out.
2. Not completly waterproof when using (old school plug in) headphones but then no silly screw in dongle needed (which i lost way to many times and no way of getting a replacement)
3. Had to sand down the plastic at the base of the headphone jack on my headphones to get it to fit as it was just too snug- no biggy for me
4. doesnt have a hard back like my previous lifeproof case. maybe not as much protection but my phone doesnt have a silly glass back to get smash.
5. Think the case screen suffers a little be worse from glare but again not a major biggy for me

Over all id say go for this case and safe the cash. worst case scenario replace this with a lifeproof case after a few months and still get your monies worth.

I've had it for eight months and first malfunction was today. The knob which engages with the silent-mode switch just fell out. Although I have pushed it back in I now have concerns as to how waterproof it will be.

Prior to that my only issue was when I used it in a pouring deluge and the sheer amount of water pushing onto the screen through the protector put it into secure mode (as the prolonged contact was read as several wrong attempts to log in)
