After 9 months, the original "touch pad" remote that came with our Samsung 3D Smart TV (UN50F6400AF) was not working well. The touch pad was loose and would not respond very well. To be honest, we were not sad. We've never liked the lack of buttons on that one. While I did like being able to write on the pad to jump to a channel, it was such a nuisance to get to the A-D buttons, for example. Plus, the remote was small and was always getting lost in the TV room.
This remote works well on our TV. I'm not sure why one reviewer said it is "not for U.S. TVs". Ours is and it's fine.
The main advantage over the original remote is that it is NOT Bluetooth (could be a disadvantage to some). Why is this nice? Well, the remote is so much quicker at making the TV respond. This is especially true with the "Guide". It still works well without having to have it directly pointed to the TV. I'm keeping the original Bluetooth around for times when I'm in another room and may need to mute the TV, or when I'm upstairs and too far away from it.
The remote doesn't have "real" buttons, but there are raised lines between sets. The "Power", "5" dot, volume, and channel buttons are also raised. The light is nice and can be turned off to save batteries (and easily turned back on if needed). The "Internet" button acts as the original remote's "Smart Hub".
We had also purchased the Samsung keyboard right after the TV and it's a joke, so we rarely use it. It doesn't work with most apps like YouTube and to use the browser with it on the TV is painfully slow. So now we have a remote that works well, is large enough to not be lost, and saves us many steps in doing what we want because we don't have to go through the on-screen menu.
The only downside is that it's not really ergonomic. However, since I have arthritis and no longer have to "swipe" to navigate, but can click the navigation buttons, the remote makes up for that.

Love it
We have had our tv for a couple years or so now but always had problems with our qwerty remote not wanting to work all the time, batteries dying quickly, and it even corroded inside! Our tv was not listed in the description but it worked fine and I like this remote better than the original one.
