This amp produce a lot of power as long as your subs are wired correctly. You need to have your subs at 2ohms for each channel or 4 ohms bridged. I am running 2 800 watts a piece subs at 4ohms per chennel and it sounds like it will blow my back windows in my chevy tahoe! Amp doesn't run hot but I took 2 inch metal blocks and raised it up so air can flow. It has 2 vents on the bottom, trust me since I raised the amp 2 inches up from my sub box it is running cool enough to not be on protection mode. I blasted at least 4 hours straight at the bike week at the beach with out any issues! Loving it so far. I probably need to upgrade my subs because they are talking a lot of pounding from this amp. Not sure if it is true 5000 watt amp but I give it at least 1600 to 2000 watts easy. Buy it! you can beat the price and 1 year warranty!

I was a bit skeptical about this amp but it proved to be a great buy. Easy hook up and the power output has my car trembling. Delivers clean output and rocks my four mids and dual coil sub. My only concern is that the screws for the speaker wires don't seem to hold the wires tight enough and may need periodic checking to ensure that they are always tight. Will recommend to anyone looking for some power at a great price!!

I personally think this is a fine amp. i am pushing 2 15" kicker comps and 2 12" visoniks with it and only running off the car battery. it has clear bass and plenty of power. it makes all my mirrors shake. i do not even have a capacitor yet. if you can get the power to this amp you more than smile. for the price this amp cost there is no equal. truly

It's average for the price better then the same priced bos amp that I had originally and then a little bit better then the piramid amp it replaced it Perduces 285 watts without distortion Wich is kind of sad but the boss was around 110 had a s*** tone of signal noise and the permid 200 so for the price range it's pretty good it gets hot quickly and at 14v even it will really perduce 280-320 watts depending on the frequency the heat issue tells me it won't last very long though lol

so my amp arrived after only 2-3 days so i hooked it up right away and so far im very happy im running 4 12 inch subs and it really brought them to life i have always been a fan of lanzar amps and subs and for the price u really cant go wrong alot of people say bad crap about lanzar all i can say is they need a hobby other than over spending for good quality car audio and no matter how good u think your system sounds for all that high dollar stuff u bought i promise u i will not hear u over mine lmfao so with that said im gonna run 4 12 inch lanzar max 1600 watt subs with this amp and if one of these 5000 watt amps isnt enough to run 4 well ill buy another one and run 2 but with that out there i will recomend this amp to anyone who lives in the real world and has a budget !!!!!!!!! thanks lanzar for making BOOM affordable

UPDATED- 5-15-2013
I looked everywhere for the RMS watts rating for this amp and couldn't find it anywhere. I ordered it anyway figuring it was going to be much less than 1600 watts peak and it will be. The RMS at 2 ohm is 160 watts. No way it's going to hit 1600 peak but that's good by me as I'm using it to power 1 15" sub and was hoping for more like a 600 watt peak which it probably will be. Can't comment on the operation of the amp as I'm installing it this weekend but I wanted to leave the info on the rms as I'm sure others are looking for it as well.

Update-
Okay all in all this is a decent product. If I turn the gains way up it will cut out but it still hits the 15 pretty hard and is more than loud enough for me. It's hard for me to say this is a good value though. For the RMS wattage and the blatant lie on the peak wattage I have to say you could probably get a better amp that handles the peak power properly. The sound quality is good and it's tight with no feedback from electronic noise. I guess if I had to do it again I'd probably shop around a little more.

This is a tad long winded, and a little haphazardly put together. Sorry if it doesn't help you, but I'm tired. Also if I happen to have any failures or hitches in it's operation I will note that further on this review.

OK I was NOT expecting much at all with this. The only reason that it gets such a good review NOW, is because of how good it sounds for the straight up low cash. I know this is no where near the amount of power output that it says it is, mostly because I'm using a kenwood dual 10" loaded pre-built sub system. Together the subs won't draw more than 200rms max. I accidentally cranked this up wondering about the bass, well the song just didn't have bass until I managed to crank it up. Well the subs survived, so that tells me it doesn't push what lanzar says it pushes at rms. They say it pushes the 1600watt consistently. We all know this is bollocks, no worries there. I'm even proud of amazon, or who ever set up this page on amazon for their correct use of max wattage in the item description.
Though if I had to guess, considering the price, and how truly inaccurate the knob to paint on referencing is. I would guess at maximum rms 400 if the gods of thump are smiling upon this item and you, though realistically I would say 220ish-300ish watts rms. I say that because I don't have the power output/gain completely maxed out.
Now in spite of the horridly inaccurate dials and their paint are. Seeing as my burnt out kenwood amp is easy to tell where yer setting it to. This amp is actually nice to tweak and can still manage to put out a solid thump on its own. Now I don't know why this amp sounds better than my kenwood, maybe because it was half fried to begin with when it was handed down to me. But the thump is better than the retired kenwood I have.
