I looked everywhere for the RMS watts rating for this amp and couldn't find it anywhere. I ordered it anyway figuring it was going to be much less than 1600 watts peak and it will be. The RMS at 2 ohm is 160 watts. No way it's going to hit 1600 peak but that's good by me as I'm using it to power 1 15" sub and was hoping for more like a 600 watt peak which it probably will be. Can't comment on the operation of the amp as I'm installing it this weekend but I wanted to leave the info on the rms as I'm sure others are looking for it as well.
Okay all in all this is a decent product. If I turn the gains way up it will cut out but it still hits the 15 pretty hard and is more than loud enough for me. It's hard for me to say this is a good value though. For the RMS wattage and the blatant lie on the peak wattage I have to say you could probably get a better amp that handles the peak power properly. The sound quality is good and it's tight with no feedback from electronic noise. I guess if I had to do it again I'd probably shop around a little more.
OK I was NOT expecting much at all with this. The only reason that it gets such a good review NOW, is because of how good it sounds for the straight up low cash. I know this is no where near the amount of power output that it says it is, mostly because I'm using a kenwood dual 10" loaded pre-built sub system. Together the subs won't draw more than 200rms max. I accidentally cranked this up wondering about the bass, well the song just didn't have bass until I managed to crank it up. Well the subs survived, so that tells me it doesn't push what lanzar says it pushes at rms. They say it pushes the 1600watt consistently. We all know this is bollocks, no worries there. I'm even proud of amazon, or who ever set up this page on amazon for their correct use of max wattage in the item description.
Though if I had to guess, considering the price, and how truly inaccurate the knob to paint on referencing is. I would guess at maximum rms 400 if the gods of thump are smiling upon this item and you, though realistically I would say 220ish-300ish watts rms. I say that because I don't have the power output/gain completely maxed out.
Now in spite of the horridly inaccurate dials and their paint are. Seeing as my burnt out kenwood amp is easy to tell where yer setting it to. This amp is actually nice to tweak and can still manage to put out a solid thump on its own. Now I don't know why this amp sounds better than my kenwood, maybe because it was half fried to begin with when it was handed down to me. But the thump is better than the retired kenwood I have.Read more ›

Do not buy! It is said to be 2500 watts peak x2 at 2 ohm, and it gets 650 max RMS x2 at 2 ohm. And the bottom fuse on the amp isn't even wired into the motherboard! Read morePublished 2 months ago by Amazon Customer
this is a very uderpowered low rms amp less than 200 watts rmsPublished 7 months ago by Amazon Customer
Very good amp. Makes my two 10" come alive. The only bad things I have to say is that you can't put a remote on it to control the bass. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Ian briley
