It's been a long time since I purchased this power supply, and I don't believe I even have the laptop anymore. Despite this fact, I do recall that this PS did the trick for me and the only complaint that I had was that the cord was a bit too short. Overall, this was a nice little replacement for the one that burnt up and it just worked when I needed it too.

Works just as expected. When, after a few years, my previous replacement began to fail due to a crimp in the wire, I purchased the same replacement adapter, which works just fine. Inexpensive and functional.

Five stars might seem aggressive for a cheap replacement charger, but it does the job. No, it's not Dell brand, and yes, the cord is shorter than normal, but my laptop is on it's last leg, and a bare bones charger is exactly what I was looking for.

Works great and good value. Would be great for office laptop. Not an OEM Dell unit but almost identical. The only negative is when using at home and listening to AM talk-radio shows, this causes enough RF noise and static that I can't listen to my radio program, and the original Dell adapter caused NO noise that I could hear when tested side by side. Doesn't have the same RF filtering as the original AC Adapter. Also thinking back, the cord seemed to be a little shorter than the OEM unit. However, can't beat the great price!

I order these as replacements for customers at my pc repair shop. So far, none have failed in 8 months. The only thing it lacks is a green power on led found on OEM adapters.

These are produced in China, in high volume, it's not impossible that you might get one DOA (or anything else from china for that fact), but so far I've lucked out.

I received item very promptly and was a great buy but...always pay attention to the small print. Check the features out before you buy. The power cords are just too short. You practically need to be right next to an outlet to use the power supply. Items works fine and was delivered quickly as I said but the cords are too short.

I bought this generic charger from Sunvalleytek on February 20, 2013 to replace a similar generic adapter that lasted 13 months, so this has made it almost 18 months with more careful usage and is still going. It's definitely not as solid as the original Dell charger and will heat up under higher loads, which really seems to shorten the lives of these things... the label fell off because the heat loosened the glue. This unit does, however, fit several family members laptops (including some HP units: CQ60-206US, G72-260US) & they only require 60 watts not the 90 watts these are rated to supply, so I'll order these the next time they need them.

Note that you can receive slightly different units when you order this one... the seller I bought from, Sunvalleytek, had a good rep AND they put in the notes that the unit they were selling has the two-prong plug (not the grounded third prong), which was good to know since I sometimes need to use extension cords that only have the two prongs.

My new strategy is to try to keep from both charging & using my laptop at the same time and to avoid having it plugged in when the battery is full. I think charging the battery & running the system at full speed draws too much power and heats up both these generic chargers/adapters and the generic battery I have... heat tends to be bad for electronics, especially when lighter (cheaper) components are used. So the new plan of avoiding charging & using the laptop at the same time is looking solid... come to think of it, I might actually change my power settings to use **LESS** power when it's plugged in just to get more life out of the charger & battery.
