Happy Friday! It's been a pretty standard week here, but I'm glad we've made it to Friday. We don't really have any big weekend plans--we're having a game lunch with friends on Sunday, which is always fun. I recently bought the game Organ Attack and have been looking forward to trying it out.
In other news, I finally got the official cover for my July release (Her Lieutenant Protector) and just bought new bookmarks and excerpt brochures that I'm going to take to the Deser
Hello, everyone! It's my birthday--woo hoo! Unfortunately, I have to work today (ugh, adulting!) but I'm looking forward to dinner tonight and frozen custard for dessert. My Mom wanted to make me a birthday cake, but I'm trying to cut back on my sugar and I know if I have a cake in my fridge I will eat it all. I'd hate to waste food, you know. ;)
We have a busy weekend planned. I'm getting my nails done with Mom on Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night
Hello, everyone! When I last posted two weeks ago, Mister and I had planned to go see a movie to celebrate his birthday. Things did not go quite as planned. We had just sat down at the restaurant when my Mom called with the news that Little Roo was throwing up. Needless to say, we canceled our plans and rushed home. Fortunately, she made a fast recovery. I wish I could say the same. I managed to come down with a stomach bug, and I got so dehydrated I wou
This week, I'm celebrating Mister's birthday. He turned *mumblemumble* on the 16th. He had to work that day (part of the curse of being an adult), but I made his favorite dinner and we are going out to lunch and to see a movie on Sunday, so that will be fun.
Mom and I are going to get our nails done on Saturday afternoon. I always enjoy getting to spend time with her, and it's nice to have pretty hands a
Happy Friday! I had a pretty standard week--what about you? We have a healthy to-do list to tackle this weekend, but it will be nice to check things off as we go. There's something so satisfying about crossing items off a list, don't you think?
I wanted to let you know that in honor of Goodreads Romance Week, I'm participating in the Harlequin Secret Valentine campaign! Enter to win a copy of my book, Dr. Do or Die, plus one of my favorite romances! Her
Happy Friday! How was your week? Hopefully you have lots of little things to celebrate.
This week, I'm excited about spending time with some friends on Saturday afternoon. Mister and I are going on a double date with some good friends to one of those painting with wine places, and it should be a lot of fun.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you've all had a good week!
I have lots of plans this weekend, which is a bit outside the norm. Usually we have lazy days, but that won't be the case this week.
On Saturday, I'm participating in the North Richland Hills Library's first ever Local Author Festival as part of their Year of the Book celebrations! I'll have a table set up in the lobby to sell books, and I'll be speaking from 12-12:10 pm. If you are in the DFW are
Happy New Year! How has the first week of 2017 treated you? Well, I hope.
Do any of you make resolutions? I made a couple of goals for the new year, and I'd love to hear about yours!
One of my goals is to cook more meals at home. I generally cook 3-4 dinners a week, but some weeks are busier than others and we wind up doing take-out or ordering pizza more often than I'd like. It gets expensive, and it's not the healthiest for us. So t
Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and productive 2017!
Mister and I are headed to the movies today, for the first time in what feels like forever. We're off to see Assassin's Creed, because he likes video games and I like Michael Fassbender :) Hopefully it will be entertaining, but if not, I love me some movie theater popcorn, so I'll be happy either way.
How are you celebrating the new year? If you're looking for somethi
Hi everyone! I'm writing to apologize for missing the last few weeks of this hop, and to ask for your patience as I will probably be on hiatus a little bit longer. Life is crazy right now, and unfortunately, blogging is kind of low on my to-do list. Please bear with me!
Hope you're all doing well! Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Friday! I hope you've all had a nice week. We're keeping busy here, making slow but steady progress in packing (us) and writing (me). I'm pleased to report we have an offer on our house! We responded with a counter-offer, so cross your fingers the potential buyers respond favorably! I know I'll be on pins and needles until we hear back...
Any big weekend plans? We have a birthday party to attend on Saturday--the little girl in question is very int
Hello! I'm sorry I've been remiss in posting the last few Fridays--life's been busy.
This week, I'm trying to look at my stressors in a different light. I have some deadlines fast approaching, but I am blessed because deadlines mean I have a contract. We're moving soon, but we are fortunate to have a lovely home, and we never have to worry about Little Roo not having a safe place to sleep. Sometimes I slip up and revert back to being stressed, but I'll keep working on it!
I don't know about you, but I had a pretty decent week. I managed to get a fair amount of work done, and I also took a night off and went to bed early so I could catch up on some sleep. I had a nice swim date with a friend (which Little Roo enjoyed immensely) and it was good to catch up with my friend and her mom, even though I did get a little sunburned.
Mister and I have big plans this weekend. Our side yard is in nee
Hello, everyone! I'm sorry to have missed the last few weeks of posts, but time simply got away from me. I'm happy to report we're all doing well, and I've got lots to celebrate!
My latest book, Enticed by the Operative, releases in digital form today and in print on Tuesday! It's the first book in my Doctors in Danger miniseries, so I'm pretty excited. Here's the back cover blurb, if you're interested:

Harlequin has something called the More Than Words award, which is given to a woman making a difference in her community. I'm proud to say my friend Shayla Swift made the finals for her work with the group she founded, Speak Truth To Sexual Violence Nebraska. Now she needs votes! You can vote once per day per device, so please check it out!
Happy Friday! Hope you've had a better week that me--I'm sick. I think it's a sinus infection, and it's the worst one I've had in years. It's really knocked me out, and I'm so lucky that my Mom lives nearby, because she has been a lifesaver the past few days. She's watched Little Roo while I napped, and she's the only reason we've made it through the week. If I'd been on my own, the baby would have been parked in the pack-n-play in front of the TV all week. I
Happy Friday! I've got lots to celebrate this week, so let's get started!
The view from the wedding venue...I missed last week's post because we were traveling to Nashville for my brother's wedding. It was the first time we had tried to travel with Little Roo, and I'm happy to report she was a real champ. She slept through most of the flights and did pretty well in the hotel, too. She was also a very good sport about the number of people who wanted to meet her/hold
Happy Friday! It's been a nice week here, and I hope you can say the same. This week, I'm celebrating the upcoming wedding of a dear friend. The actual wedding isn't until September, but she's in full planning mode and I'm getting to help a little. We're meeting today for lunch and wedding dress shopping, which should be a lot of fun. Mister and I had a simple courthouse wedding (which I wouldn't change for the world), and it will be nice to help her plan her ceremony. :)
Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week. Things are proceeding apace here, and I really can't complain--life is good, and I hope you can say the same. :)
This week, I'm excited to share the cover for my July release, ENTICED BY THE OPERATIVE. If you subscribe to my newsletter (see the link on the left side of the page) you've already seen this, but if not, it'll be new to you!

Happy Friday! What did you get up to this week? Anything fun or exciting?
This week, I'm celebrating our return to health. I'm finally done with the cold, and while Little Roo is still a tad stuffy in the mornings, she's just about back to normal. It was a pretty gentle introduction to illness for her, as far as these things go, so I'm glad for that. Things could have been much worse.
This weekend, I hope to get caught up on all the A to Z posts e
Hello, everyone! How was your week? I'm still dealing with the effects of my cold, and I'm sorry to report that I managed to pass it on to Little Roo. It's the first time she's been sick, and frankly, I think the experience has been more traumatic for me than her. Keep your fingers crossed she bounces back quickly!
Today, I'm celebrating the first day of Camp NaNoWriMo. I love these camp sessions--I have a hard time writing 50K in a month during the official
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a nice week. I don't have much to report today, as I'm currently feeling a bit under the weather. It's just a cold, but that doesn't make it any more enjoyable. I hope you're all doing well, and hopefully by this time next week I'll be back to my usual self.
Have a good weekend!

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a good week, and that you didn't forget to wear green on St. Patrick's Day! I actually stayed home, so my lack of seasonal color wasn't an issue :)
This one was dead, but still pretty! This week, I'm celebrating getting to go to the butterfly exhibit at the Botanic Gardens. It was a beautiful day, and the butterflies were quite active (hence my lack of good pictures--very few of them sat still long enough to pose for me!). Litt
