Blows a lot of air

First, I've had Lasso pivoting utility fans before. In fact, I still have two that are functioning well. Visiting my kids, I noticed that during a heat wave a utility fan would be a welcome addition. Ergo, to Amazon and I found this beauty.
This is a larger fan. The air outlet is 12 inches across. On high, this fan will blow a lot of air. With the fan in the entryway I can feel air movement in the kitchen, some 30 feet away.
And, it blows well. I'm not sure what quietly means when moving this volume of air but the sound is not obnoxious to me. I hear a fan blowing, but not as bad as a 20 inch box fan. Overall I rate the sound as middle of things.
The outlet pivots easily. The support or stand is firm. There are electrical outlets on one side so you can plug in other items.
Overall this is a nice high performance fan that I feel will last a long time.

I thought this was like my smaller Lasko fans that work so well and was kinda shocked at the price, wondering why it was over $100.00. I thought it must move a little more air, so I bought one.
I was wrong.
This thing moves so much air I am amazed! It is not quite twice the size of my smaller Lasko blower fans, but the amount of air it moves is incredible.
Need a strong breeze or to dry something? Give this sucker a try!

Definitely A Cooling Fan

We've had this fan for 3 months now. We use it on hot nights when we don't want the air conditioner on all night. I can tell you for a fact this fan does blow the air a little cooler than our stand fan which also happens to be a Lasko.

Because there is a good amount of air flow there is noise - more noise than a stand fan, but it is not so much as to be really disruptive. As I said we ran it through the night. It kind of became ambient noise. That's on level one.

Rarely have we needed to turn the fan to the second or third speed because of the volume of air that flows through it. The head of this fan is adjustable so you can change the range of the flow from straight up in the air for deflecting a direct flow to straight down which is good for drying floors.

The fan also comes with 2 3-pronged grounded plugs (see photos).

Very surprised that this Lasko fan is much more powerful than our vornado fans. The only noise I detect comes from the very high volume of forced air. We have a lot of windows in the living room and unfortunately not enough wall space to hang a split air system so will eventually get a couple more of these to make our living/family/kitchen more livable in our tropical climate. Caution, this fan will blow papers or lightweight objects off any surface and also best not to point it directly at anyone. We had to reposition it a lot to find what works best and pointing it toward a wall for indirect air circulation works best for forcing out the hot air and keeping the room comfortable.

Best pivoting fan I have ever owned

I purchased this fan for two reasons, first of all it was made by Lasko and they have a reputation of quality fans. Second reason was it was made for commercial use which means that the safety standards are a bit higher compared to residential standards. What really surprised me was how quite the fan is considering the amount of air it is moving. As a rule of thumb the more air that a fan moves the noisier it is. But this fan really isn't all that noisy. I can put this fan in a room with the TV on and still hear the TV with no problems. I don't think you will find a better fan than this fan it is made well moves a lot of air and is surprisingly quite for the amount of air it moves.

More Direct Breeze Than Conventional Fan

I live in a 1957 insulation-free Southern California house where an 80-degree day can feel like 100 degrees because the attic will store heat, get to 125 or so, and then keep the house sweltering hot all night. I have AC, but you're losing fresh air and paying large electric bills. Already owning some conventional Lasko and Vornado fans in every room, I thought I'd give the Lasko pivoting fan a try. Presumably, you can "push" hot air out of the house and you get a narrower band or width of focused cool air when directed toward you. I do find the cool breeze more direct than a conventional fan, and I like that when I'm writing at my office. I can't tell if the fan is actually pushing hot air out of the house when I have it directed opposite the home's interior. But for a relatively quiet focused breeze, I'm liking this fan a lot and am considering getting another.
