The front matter about his other stories should have been at the back matter. The links to the main story page made it look like a fast attempt to correct the mistake. Terribly distracting from the main story. Story about the French Foreign Legion operating inside France just did not ring true to me and I stopped about 20% of the way through the book.

I loved this book. One of my friends when I was growing up, went to France to join the French Foreign Legion. There wasn’t a good war going on (this was pre-Nam) and he was looking for action. After reading of Nicholas Black’s adventures, I’m glad I stayed home and waited for Viet Nam. Oh yeah, we never heard from that old friend again. If I were a half century younger I might be kicking some you know what with my MMA experience or being a bouncer or running guns, but what the heck, Black’s already done that and lived to tell about it. I wonder if he can come back to the US of A yet? If you have any sort of spirit of adventure, read this book. You’ll love it too.

This book was a total waste. No plot or story was ever established, just a rambling of junk after junk after junk going nowhere. I'm guessing the author is still out of the country and hope that is the case.
