This set was simply the best novel I have read in a very long time. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Even those where I would say gross out loud was because I was intrigued with the direction the book was taking me. Absolutely will read more from this author!
Read first two books like I was eating ice cream...fast and interested in finishing so I could read the next, or get another bowl. Was kind of disappointed with the end of third book, it seemed to just stop. Will try more of G. Ness books in future.
MUST READ!!!!! Gilliam Ness takes you from 0-200 in no time with a thrilling page turner that keeps you begging for more! Gabriel and Natasha and the rest of the cast are easy to identify with. I want to know how many times Mr. Ness has visited the catacombs and accidentally got "lost"
The Last Artifact Trilogy is a wonderful, complex mixture of genres, from ancient civilizations to quantum mechanics. The characters are fascinating, the plot is complex and unpredictable, and the subject matter simply captivating. It is however important to read the books in order, or you will find yourself hopelessly lost in the complexities of the story.
What a great read! Really thought provoking. Do yourself a favor and buy this book and read it...you won't be disappointed! I am not going to go into all that's great about these three books...read the other reviews for that. But if you notice...everyone who has read them a left a review has given the 4 - 5 star review only! That should tell you how great a read these books are.
I had a hard time even coming up with a header for this review. I have already reviewed the first two books in this trilogy and gave them each 5 stars. The last book....I was not even halfway into it and felt like I was trying to escape a bog. I noticed another reader said it tired them out. Exactly how I felt. I did not skip any chapters but this last book took me longer to read because of the slowness. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of the 'ideas' about spirituality because they fit how I feel, however......there was a movie mentioned a few times in the book....well....I HATED that movie....I then realized why I felt exhausted reading the rest of the story. These books offer a complex view of spirituality and that can be exhausting in itself. Would I recommend this set of books? After telling the person it is heavily into spiritually and if they are open to different concepts, yes I would. I would read more books by Mr. Ness because he has good a good imagination , or does he? Maybe he is more enlightened than the rest of us?
I loved these books! I found I had to go back and forth to grasp some of the complex mental thoughts as expressed in the books. The concept posted some wonderful constructs. This trilogy is very interesting and in many ways I found myself seeing many constructs I feel and see in the world. The Last Artifact Trilogy: Box Set Edition
I enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy. However the third one tired me out. I ended up skipping sections just to get to the end and call it done. I can't recall ever doing that with a book before.
