The story is about three people who go on a hunt for treasure and travel all over the world. They have so many adventures along the way that you can't wait to see what happens next. The characters are well developed and touches of humor keep them real. I will definitely be reading other books by this author.
If you are one who often picks holes in story lines then leave this alone.
This is fast paced and fun knitted around some interesting historical facts that are relevant today.
I enjoyed it.
I deducted a star because I do not like "foreshadowing"--the statements in the book that indicate that in the future pages something is going to go wrong. I prefer to be surprised by adversity, rather than knowing beforehand.
As a big fan of Spain and Barcelona in particular, I enjoyed the references to places in Spain and Barcelona, and I experienced the memories of the places in Barcelona that the story visits.
Can not recommend this book.

This is a story very much of the Dan Brown genre, but one which goes so far over the top in trying to outdo Dan, it becomes just plain silly.
Every conceivable plot device is employed - breathless chases around exotic bits of the planet; ancient riddles and mysteries; a dashing hero, a beautiful (but smart) heroine, and a crusty old professor. You name it and its in there.
And then, when exhausted you reach the final pages, thinking that the author has thrown in everything but the kitchen sink - he throws in the kitchen sink.
So yes, by all means suspend disbelief when you start to read this story. But I doubt that you will manage to keep it up right to the end. There is just one crypt too many in the tale.
Lots of twists & turns & not the usual styles writing that you'd normally associate with this genre of book!
We are told this is a work of fiction but certainly some of does come from historical fact & works of popular fiction which are so 'in' at the moment.
Good to see one of the main supporting characters lives to see another day but I bet he will be less than impressed to think he has missed out out on the find of a lifetime!!
I hope to see these characters in another novel of a similar story line!
Overall a great read , would recommend so ill just go let the appointed disciple on earth that he's secret is out & he's just missed th s v
