Superb book

Breathtaking presentation and lavishly illustrated. The Last Knight is backed up by erudite scholarship. This superb book feels as well-crafted as the armour (armor) upon which it provides such an illuminating commentary. This is much more than a pretty coffee table book however. There’s a curator’s sharp focus and attention to detail on individual pieces and objects in various collections but the book also brings to life the broader brush strokes of history, war, political machinations and marriage alliances. Thoroughly immersive

Reviewed in France on February 19, 2021Verified Purchase
