"Be prepared to cry several time throughout this book. I honestly loved this book for so many reasons. the way it was written put you right into the characters feeling and i felt everything that she was going through. I wanted to help Sarah and tell the kids who was bullying her to leave her alone! This story touched my heart with everything that was written. kids are bullied everyday and nothing is done. kids commit suicide and no one notices. this book really makes u want to reach out and help the kids or just people in general who are suffering as Sarah did. I am looking forward to reading more of Heather's, and i wonder what she will throw at me next! Awesome job!" -Brandi Pearson
"The Last Night is an eye opening young adult book about bullying, suicide, feelings, and relationships. Written when the author was just a teen herself gives it an authenticity rarely seen in novels. Highly recommended for parents and teens." -Mitsy
"Great book, I couldn't put it down. Kirchhoff had me turning page after page to find out what happened next." -Alyssa G.
About the Author
Heather was inspired to write by Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy, and Alyson Noel's Evermore. She began writing in seventh grade. At first, her stories weren't good, as she found out when Heather stumbled upon a story she wrote back when she first began writing. But now she's told they're amazing. And that makes her really happy to hear.
Heather wanted to make others feel what she did when reading the end of Twilight. Vampire Academy and Evermore simply sealed the deal.
Heather was first published in Apocalypse her sophomore year of high school. In 2013, after writing The Last Night for six months, she decided to publish her first book a month before her junior year of high school. Now, about six years after she first began writing, she's in twelve anthologies, with a few more coming out soon, and has five books published.
She is a part of Rock & Roll Saved My Soul, which is a publisher that publishes anthologies. All proceeds from these books goes to charity. Right now, they're looking for submissions for a couple new anthologies!
