This book really fascinated me. World War I is not a topic we hear much about, since World War II eclipsed it in scope and casualty count. This felt like an insight into a forgotten era of an extremely brutal war. It was very interesting to hear not only of the war, but of some of the first uses of planes in war as well. Its amazing how jerry-rigged these things were. This book is good, and completely unlike the other strange stuff Joseph has written. You can tell he really has a passion for the topic.

Before reading this book I didn't even know about American bombers taking part in the First World War. This is not only the very exciting story of one of the first American bomber pilots, but a revealing look at the long neglected air war in Europe at the time. The book is extremely well written and I recommend it to anyone with interest in either World War I or the history of air power
