About the Author
A serial entrepreneur he owned severalbusinesses in his career. His Mother's family came to New Mexico from MontagueCounty, Texas after the Civil War and arrived in Lea County, New Mexico in the1880's. He and his wife, Kathy, raised three sons and lived in Silver City formany years. They realized a dream in 1989 when they purchased land in theMimbres River Valley East of Silver City. There they raised registered blackangus cattle and registered paint horses, grazing them on irrigated pastures oflush fescue grass. All along the Mimbres River there are many ruins of theindigenous Native American people who lived there some seven hundred yearsago. Chuck and Kathy have lived in Las Cruces for almost twenty years where twoof their sons and grandchildren live.
