Her main characters spring quickly to life through her writing. We come to know their personalities as though they're old friends. And, speaking of old friends, it was fun to see Will Thomas's brothers (and their significant others) resurface in this story. As always, her characters, both main and secondary, are distinctive and well described.
(Here's hoping we see more of Special Agent Matilda Street in a future book.)
The action flows perfectly, as Ms MacDonald uses flawless blends of descriptive prose and engrossing and enteraining dialogue to tell her tale. The suspense builds and builds, and, once we're two chapters deep into the book, we can't put it down.
Now, for the downside. I have to sit and wait for this wonderfully gifted writer to produce her next thrilling suspense novel.
Several agencies across the country all working toward finding a serial killer that is traveling across the country leaving bodies in his wake. Will Savannah and her partner stop him from hurting all the abused women and will he save her when she becomes bait? Another five star book in the Thomas Family Series. I
Highly recommend it to all Morgan Hannah McDonald fans.
It's fast paced, thrilling, intense, with romance and yes scary gruesome. I think both stories were well written to keep your interest and keep you turning those pages.
It was a believable story which I appreciate.
Can't wait to read the next book.
Last Scream is the story of Will Thomas and Savannah St. Germaine. After finding the remains of brutally murdered woman the two begin the hunt for a religiously fueled serial killer. I really thought I had it figured out early on but I was wrong and I loved that! The romantic aspect of the story was done well also. Just enough to call it a romance without it being trashy or make you forget there is a mystery to be solved! The only thing I would have changed was the lack of communication between the brothers. I think that would have really added to the story and the cohesiveness of the series.
* I would definitely recommend this book (and the others in the series) and can't wait for the next addition to the series!
