Got this for my mother at Christmas. We used to listen to it when I was a kid driving around to garage sales with her in the old Cadillac. One day the tape disappeared and we never saw it again. It's been 15+ years since I heard this music, and my mom was super excited when she unwrapped it. So glad to find this gem!
And unfortunately, to this day I can't listen to "Goldie's Last Day" without crying my eyes out P_P

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

I picked up a WOW Christian comtemporary compilation from the mid 90's from my local used CD store and this group stood out from all other artists on the album. These guys have a strong Beatles/Paul McCartney influence. Some of my favorite tracks include "Great Lengths", probably their biggest hit with an ELO/Sgt. Pepper styling; "Pour Me Out", which sounds like the harder side of 1970's soft rock group Bread; "Forever", a heart-touching song which sounds like Eric Carmen and the Raspberries about the reality of eternal life forever for the believer because of Jesus Christ's sacrafice for us; "Anything", which sounds like Badfinger or a McCartney/Wings single around 1973; "Spinning Around", still McCartneyesque but with a Marshall Crenshaw-styled rockabilly feel; "That Kind Of Love", which shows more of a Phil Keaggy influence(Phil Keaggy was a musical mentor to the group). Although not specifically a Christmas song I Enjoy playing "That Kind Of Love" at Christmas along with all my other favorite Christmas songs by Christian contemporary artists because Jesus Christ's coming down to earth to be born and die for the sins of the world was the ultimate act of love God could give to mankind. "Walk Away From Love" is again McCartneyesque; while "Wonder Why" sounds like what the Beatles could have sounded like on Abbey Road if they were Christians. Almost all their songs are solid. Again they stand out from most 1990's Christian music because although their biggest influences(Beatles,Mc Cartney, Badfinger, Rasberries,ELO, Phil Keaggy) are clearly heard in their songs they also are clearly their own band. Along with Jacob's Trouble and Third Day they are one of my favorite Christian bands of all time. Buy it and enjoy some great 90's Christian contemporary music.

Pop alternative rock band. Good cd over all with a lot of songs.

It's 2015 and I just barely re-discovered PFR!!!! I'm actually sorry that I forgot about them for this long!! PFR was a big reason I took up guitar when I was a teen. I used to listen to this album on my CD walkman (that makes me feel so old but im only 30!) to go to sleep every night for a long while. The lyrics are still powerful and encouraging to this day and of course the music still rocks!!!!

I was fortunate to find this still available. My car is older and still has a CD player, and two of my favorite songs (“Forever” and “That Kind of Love”) are on this album.

I already owned this, and bought this one for a 13yo friend who is a burgeoning musician who appreciates good, older music. PFR's style is reminiscent of the Beatles, and this kid loves Paul McCartney, so I knew he would love them. I was right, he'd never heard of PFR and was thrilled to discover an "old" band with great style and message. My husband and I play this album frequently. It's great ambient music or full-on sing-along.
