I wonder why the authors decided to write this book? Rosemary Clooney wrote two wonderful books telling her life story in her own words and no one can tell it like the person who lived it! This book is a basic repeat of her biographies, Girl Singer and This For Remembrance. The only difference is it lacks the warmth and poetry that only Rosemary could provide. This book is more like a textbook on the life and times of Rosemary Clooney. A good portion of the book consists of lists and indexes of her recordings and concert performances. If you are a student of jazz or are just looking to do research on Rosemary Clooney, this book is a great resource. If you want to learn about the life of Rosemary Clooney, stick to the previously mentioned books that were written by her. Like my title says...The Lady Says It Best!!!
