"Between the Margaritas, Andean Sunrise, Piscos Sours, and Caipirinhas, this book is packed with everything you could ever want to drink. Yvette and Vianney break down the Latin cocktail scene like never before! So until the next time you jet off on a fabulous Latin adventure, why not shake up a few cocktails and bring the vacation to your own kitchen?" --Gaby Dalkin, WhatsGabyCooking.com and author of Absolutely Avocados The award-winning food bloggers from Muy Bueno and The Sweet Life have teamed up to create this all-new collection of Latin-American cocktails. Yvette and Vianney are known for Mexican and Latin-fusion recipes made with easy-to-find ingredients. Their cocktails--featuring fresh-squeezed juices and homemade mixers have been so popular that they decided to devote a whole book to them! Latin Twist is the first book to celebrate the signature cocktails of Latin America and Spain in one volume. It delves into the history of each country's special ingredients, wines, and liquors, and includes recipes for traditional drinks as well as the authors original creations. Try a luscious Passion Fruit Caipirinha from Brazil, Colombia's fruity Borgona, or Argentina's national drink, the deceptively simple Fernet con Cola.

Pineapple Daiquiri is also in the Cuba chapter. Like they say in the book, “daiquiris are available in virtually any flavor these days” and they are right. This one is made with pineapple, sugar, Lime juice, maraschino liqueur, ice, and rum. Pineapple is a great flavor for a drink with its sun-ripened sweetness and tropical feel. It can also get a bit fibrous when mixing the whole fruit into a drink. Using very ripe pineapples are perfect for this drink as the fibers will break down nicely in a high-powered blender or NutriBullet. Rating: 4/5
In the Brazil chapter, Passion Fruit Caipirinha is one of my favorite Brazilian drinks. This one is made with limes, sugar, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and cachaça. The flavor is very tropical. Growing up with Hawaiian taste buds, there is nothing like passion fruit (lilikoi) in a drink or even a dessert. Even though this drink is Brazilian, it always reminds me of home. Rating: 5/5
In the Chile chapter, Ponche a la Romana is a festive Chilean drink to usher in the New Year. This one is made with pineapples, pineapple juice, and champagne (or sparkling wine). This is a pineapple forward drink with sweetness and tropical feel. I can see this at a party in a large punch bowl. I would also float some pineapple sorbet for a creamy touch. Rating 4.5/5
