About Laura A. Zubulake
Laura Zubulake worked on Wall Street for many years. It is there she honed her communication skills, business acumen, attention to detail, and sense of intrigue. Traveling to over 40 countries to explore cultures became about observing and capturing life with her photography and her painting. The history, art, and cuisine of Europe, Latin America, Asia, Russia, and Egypt made impressions. The intellectuality of the Acropolis, the grandeur of the Vatican, the mystery of the Great Sphinx, the incredulity of the Great Wall, the exoticness of the Forbidden City, the magnificence of Iguazu Falls, the natural beauty of America’s west. For Laura, writing non-fiction is the expression of experiences. Writing fiction is like painting with words. Slay the Dragon is her debut novel. LauraZubulake.com

“This is a phenomenal story told by, sadly, a phenomenal person. I say "sadly" because the world would be a much better place if more people of learning, character, and conviction were as undeterred as Laura Zubulake.” - Reed D. Gelzer, MD, MPH (Amazon review)
“If you were a fan of Erin Brockovich you will love Zubulake's e-Discovery and hopefully, once you start reading it, you too, will have a hard time putting it down!” – Kimberley Ann BaldwinStried “Kimberly” (Amazon review)
“"Zubulake's e-Discovery" is a real-life account about Courage, Creativity and Commitment to the Truth.” – SamaraNY (Amazon review)
Zubulake’s e-Discovery is an inspirational account of an individual standing on principle, fighting for her rights, persevering against a formidable opponent, and achieving vindication, accountability, and justice. It is a 21st century version of David and Goliath that transformed the legal industry, led to the development of a multi-billion dollar electronic discovery IT industry, influenced the way in which organizations manage information, and resulted in a historic outcome. Zubulake’s e-Discovery illustrates what can happen when an individual sets out to do the “right thing.” It is a story that will appeal to any reader who cheers for the underdog.

"A tension-filled plot from the get-go, Zubulake's fictional Latin-American-ish setting lends plausibility to the ubiquitous corruption connected with opioids and the problems associated with people's efforts to solve societal ills once and for all.... Kudos to Zubulake for producing Slay the Dragon, a gripping and provocative read." - Feathered Quill Book Review

Slay the Dragon is a provocative political suspense novel set in Latin America that explores how corruption feeds into social ills and how leaders exploit these conflicts to cling to power. Artfully using fiction, the author exposes readers to the complexity of the opioid crisis and its impact on society.
The protagonist César Rosada is determined to effect social change for the working class of his country, and right decades of corruption, crime, drugs, and misguided economic policies. He anticipates resistance from those with power and vested interests, but finds himself confronted with a new challenge--America's opioid crisis. César's dreams for his people become entangled in the secrets and conspiracies of those around him. He is conflicted, and ultimately pursues a course of action that for some is morally ambiguous but keeps readers wondering if it is possible to slay the dragon?
