Good product but always containing one pack with broken seal

The product, in general, was great. I have bought several times in the past. In particular, the 8-pack has a great price. However, somehow in ALL my past three purchases, there was always ONE pack that is not air-tight -- the seal is broken (see the left pack; The right pack is the good one, like a brick, for comparison). That must be intentional on the seller's side. It is exactly one pack that is bad so that the buyers would not bother to return it, but enough for the seller to get rid of the defect products. I did not bother to complain in the past, but after three times being taken advantage of, I decided to write a review. I am not returning the product, as one pack (~$4) is not worth my time to do so, but others should take this into account. You are getting 8 packs at a good price, but remember: only 7 good ones, and the other one is a bad pack.

I received the Classico blend, which is meant for moka pots. The item pictured on this site is meant for all types of preparations. Disappointed I was fooled a second time. Will be requesting a return and refund ASAP.

Great coffee at great price but broken vacuum seals

This is our family's favorite coffee and I tend to order it through Amazon because of the price. If you like a rich and strong coffee then this style might be for you. Definitely try it if you've never had it.

I do have to say that the sets of 8 shipped by Amazon have 1 to 2 packages which have lost their vacuum seal, I guess through rough handling or package defect. It is very consistently 1 to 2 packages every time. Only when shipped by Amazon. I have not noticed any taste difference with the broken seals.

This is some of the best espresso that I've ever had! It's one of the most popular coffees drunk in Italy, but it's also half the price of the Italian espresso. One pack of 8 has lasted me nearly 6 months already and I'm not done with it!

The flavor is strong but smooth, it has a nice acidity to it, and it is a very versatile coffee, whether you are making a sweetened or un-sweetened espresso drink.

I recommend that, if you purchase this item, keep it stored properly to ensure that it lasts as long as possible. For storing, you want to avoid exposure to sunlight, moisture, and extreme heat. It should be kept in a cool, dark, dry place (probably a pantry or cubbard).

I love this espresso so much! I have a cappuccino maker that I use with the coffee every day to make Maple Syrup Lattes, and they are fantastic! I could not be happier. This coffee alone has also saved me a lot of money as I no longer need to run to Starbucks in the mornings.

What you're probably drinking at an espresso bar in Italy ...

This is probably the most commonly used coffee at bars in Italy. This is good solid coffee, very consistent. It has a good bit of Robusta blended in with the Arabica which makes outstanding crema.

I grind good quality dark roast beans and then mix it with this Lavazza 50-50 and that's our everyday coffee (we drink espresso and Americanos). With the Lavazza mixed in, the crema is almost explosive, which usually means the coffee will have a nice sweetness.

It works out to about $6-7 a pound for a very solid consistent product.

5 out of the 8 bags were not sealed properly and did not resin the proper freshness. Since they weren’t sealed, they won’t last long, which defeats the entire purpose of buying on bulk. Also, it is not a returnable item!

I love this coffee and have been drinking it for years and years. Trust me, it does taste different when the seal is broken and it’s not as good. Half my bags arrived with broken seals. I contacted the seller and was told I’d get replacement bags. We’ll see. Right now, I’m out nearly $40 for 4 bags of coffee.

LavAzza Crema e Gusto is my favorite coffee. And I've been drinking and loving coffee for at least 40 years. Good caffeine jolt, amazing non-bitter rich aromatic taste! And they grind it well so a little goes a long way.

I try other coffee at times. But I keep coming back to LavAzza.
Hint: Don't buy the LavAzza coffee sold in stores! It's no where near as good as this stuff.
