MY THOUGHTS
The audio quality from this mic is very good and that's coming from a professional videographer, youtuber and mix engineer with years of experience. I did not expect this to sound as good as it did out the box. Check out my video as I test it in my home recording studio. That said, don't let the $18 price tag leave you on the fence. If your thinking about getting this, get it. You will not be disappointed.

SETUP
You simply plug the unit into your desktop or laptop (compatible with both mac and pc). After it automatically detects the hardware, launch your favorite compatible application, select the USB mic as the source and your set. NO CD-ROMS or drivers to download and install!

LIMITATIONS
1. Cable only 6ft
2. You have to connect this to a USB port on a computer for this to work. It cannot connect to external hardware e.g(pre-amp, mixer, etc)

Great Audio that Wont Break the Bank

Great quality audio for a budget price. Was pleasantly surprised with how well this Microphone performed compared with more expensive models like the Blue Yeti. It does a solid job removing the vast majority of background noise from your audio, excluding the occasional breathing sounds as you speak. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone who wants to get started in something like Youtube Videos, Tutorials, or streaming. You can get your feet wet without breaking the bank.

Setup is about as simple as it gets. You plug the Mic in to any USB port on your computer and you're ready to roll. The onboard soundcard that comes with it does most of the heavy lifting for you. The only tweaking it needed was to turn down the volume level so that it recorded at a nice even tone.

Not much negative to say after some thorough testing and trial video recordings. Some extra pop filter covers would be nice, but those are cheap and generally pretty standard in size.

Big design flaw in the colossal USB dongle

The microphone itself works wonders. The USB dongle is just a joke. I don't know why they made it so tremendously big because it's Hollow on the inside and has a lot of wasted space. It's so big in fact that you'll need a USB extender or you'll suffer the problem I have in the image I'm including. It's so big that it takes up two entire USB slots. It's obnoxiously big. They should have just gone with a standard USB port And if needed, include some sort of big plastic dongle adapter. But instead they incorporated into the product itself. Very annoying

This is an excellent mic, but only at the right angle & distance. Oddly enough, it sounded the WORST when I clipped it to my shirt near my mouth, as one is expected to do with a lav mic. Very echoey and distant. However, once I clipped it to my laptop stand out in front of me, the sound quality was shockingly good.

I like to sit further away from my screens, and my Macbook Pro and my external webcam both sound terrible from this distance. So, I've been using a podcast mic on Zoom calls, which sounds great but is bigger than a soda can and blocks me from typing easily. Thought I'd give this lav a try.

Once I found a good spot for this lav on my desk, I A/B tested it with my podcast mic on a Zoom. They were incredibly similar in sound quality, which is saying a lot since this lav is 1/4 the cost. I know Zoom compresses audio to a large degree... But I did buy this for Zoom specifically, so this was a great discovery.

So far, the best results are when I clip this lav to my laptop stand, about 6" below me and 12" in front of me (bit to the left). I'm sure each desk will need its own fiddling to find the sweet spot, but it was worth the effort for me. And I actually prefer not having to clip it to my shirt anyway, so I don't have to Zoom with it visible in frame. This is an impressive affordable solution.

As a YouTuber I don't use it much for gaming but I do use this microphone now when I take my computer out to do some away shooting video out of my studio. Sometimes it's just too difficult to take the whole shotgun mic stand and equipment along when you're just going out, maybe you're going to shoot video in a park at a picnic bench or at a restaurant and you just need something smaller and inconspicuous, this fits my needs for those situations. Sound quality is perfect for the videos that I record especially when I'm out in public. Build quality I've had this product now for a few months and it still looks brand new it's been holding up really well. Plug and play with Windows easy setup I could not have asked for anything more. Definitely suits my needs
